Clemson fans ... wassup

No, no, no. Syracuse beating the then defending national champions and then Number 2 Clemson 27 - 24 in 2017 guaranteeing Clemson would not win the NC that year.

Fact: No team that lost to Syracuse has gone on to win an NC the same year.

What is the ACC without Clemson? Pre-expansion PAC-12
Oh you done gone and did it now! I was surprised to find out how many Pac-12 supporters are on here when I said their conference sucks

Clemson has a huge problem but it’s fixable.

Dabo refuses to use the transfer portal to improve his team and he isn’t going all in on NIL. That isn’t going to work.

The solution is for Dabo to retire after this year and let Clemson get some new blood in. It’s in Dabo’s best interest or he risks his legacy.

The long walk from the visitor locker room to the field.

I don't know. I wouldn't count Dabo out just yet. He has a way of turning shit around.

With the game last night, the spread was Clemson -13. Up until the fumble at the goal line to start the 4th, I thought there was a chance Clemson could still cover

They’re clearly not an elite team this year, but their defense still looks really good, and their offense looked good in the second half between the 20’s.

But after seeing DJU look impressive for Oregon State, it’s clear they need to overhaul their offensive scheme

Sabans replacement iyam…

Klubnik had many bad things happen. Forget the fumbles near the goal line, in the red zone, etc. How many passes did he throw that were almost picked off? How many did he throw that were picked off? How many blocked field goals? Is Duke known for blocking FG's? I know miscues happen, but look at that score. I could see Duke getting a lead, but at least the Tigers could have had some sort of comeback. Make it closer, more respectable. I mean, damn, the Minnesota Twins' (yeah the baseball team) runs scored almost tripled Clemson's points.

I'd have respect for Dabo if he had blamed Jesus and/or God for the loss.

I'll give it to Klubnik, he's way faster than I gave him credit for. Tracking down a DB in a dead sprint after that goal line fumble? Maybe he's a wildcat QB who can occasionally throw?

Not based on what I saw last night.

this is retarded. from 1990-2008, Clemson had a 61% winning percentage. Since Dabo took over in 2008, Clemson's winning percentage is 80%. there was a time where Clemson was indistinguishable from North Carolina State.

and he's in no danger of risking his legacy, lmfao. He won two national titles at Clemson. his legacy is already set. When people think about Bobby Bowden's FSU program, they think about their dominance in the 80s and 90s, not their lackluster years in the 2000s. The legacy discussion is and will always be retarded.

GOOD
I guess it wasn't all bad. Going into the season we had questions on how will the Oline, Dline, Secondary look and they look solid.
Returning 4 starters, the Oline looked solid in pass-protection. Run game they didn't dominate but I also don't think running out of the spread is ideal unless you have a explosive running QB.

Dline didn't get any sacks but they didn't give Leonard much time in the pocket to look down field. Also couple of the freshman flashed in Peter Woods and JT Parker

Secondary did better than expected as they had some bad performances last year but this year most have returned and they are healthy right now

BAD
Tackling, pursuit to the ball and just getting out physical by Duke. As much hype the LB group got for being one of the best in the country, they looked lost many times in coverage. I think at one time Duke had 10 air yards but 100+ yards after catch in the first half.

WRs wasn't much of a factor in the game. They haven't been much of a factor since Jeff Scott left in 2019. Duke did sit two safeties back most of the game so I don't want to overreact but I've been calling for Tyler Grisham (WR coach) to be let go for some time now

UGLY
Overall bad execution. Something that it's becoming a theme in the last few years, I wish I can say last night was just a one off but it's not

Cade Klubnik. I mean he has the talent (good arm, good mobility) but he's just isn't there yet and it's clear why the coaches didn't give him too much playing time last year. His biggest problem is that he cannot sit in a pocket and make a throw. Oline looked good last night but even in good pockets you can see him get nervous and either A) miss the throw/window B) run out and take a bad sack.
