Colorado -3 in Boulder?

I am not saying anything bad about Colorado or the coach. But I am about tired of all the slobbing the CU knob and tickling Ralphie's fuzzy nuts by the media. I mean, damn, they beat a TCU team that was ranked. Clemson was ranked and looked what happened. LSU was ranked and look at the result. A TCU team that lost a ton of players. It wasn't like the score was 40-20. The Buffs beat a team that had almost the least players returning in all of FBS by 3 points. Colorado could go undefeated and pats on the back all around. Wyoming beat Texas Tech. Many had Texas Tech ranked and thought they might make the BIG XII champs game. Is Wyoming ranked now? Wait until a loss or two or seven or ten losses happen. The media, the CU nut ticklers, etc. are all gonna say that it is just year one and let Sanders get all his players in place, then they will be a force. LSU lost badly. Is their season done? Nope not one bit. So, how can Colorado win one game, and they be considered back?
Very well said. Coming into this season, I can't imagine even the homeriest of TCU homers thinking they were gonna have anything close to a repeat of last season. Given the fact that they lost almost every major difference-maker from last year's flukey CFP run and the fact that they were the definition of mediocre the previous 5 seasons, it shouldn't surprise anyone if they end up 6-6 this year or even worse. Yet they went toe to toe with Colorado and barely lost. As it pertains to this thread, I do think CU should be more heavily favored against Nebraska, but that's more because Nebraska is still nowhere close to being good. However, this Colorado team has a very "2016 Texas" vibe to them.

I don't get it. TCU is a shitty team, but Colorado is a good team because they won by 3?

The hype is strong.

I think Colorado is better than Nebraska but I don't expect either to go to a bowl this year. Nor do I really even expect TCU to.

When you only won one game all of last year and you start out the season with a road win against a ranked team, that is huge. I don't think anyone is expecting anything out of Colorado past a crappy bowl potentially but if they win just one more game they are 100% better than last year.

can't get mad at people.. the people on tv and on pods had TCU as their sleeper pick because they picked up multiple former 5 star players from Bama.. Chandler was supposed to be much better than Duggan and was only held back because of his injury.

But I do find it funny how so many are shitting on TCU BECAUSE of CU's win lol

This board was like most and people laughed that Deion would even win this game.. everyone made fun of all the turnover and the kids that bailed after playing it's spring games. How many laughed that they looked more like a tiny HSFB team?

They came out and looked a lot better than other schools that played the past two weeks. Does this mean they are going to win the PAC? Of course not.. It's just odd that some people already hate "Deion" act but were cool making fun of CU when to them it looked like a disaster in process.

That right there is a reason for a Top 25 ranking.

In my defense, I was tired of the "Deion" act when he was still in the NFL.

How many years will Deion be at CU before he leaves for a bigger gig and rips the rug out from under CU fans?

I think I get what you're saying here but I'm not entirely sure

whenever Saban retires.. He'll be the next Tide coach.. Afflac told me

Let's be honest there are less deserving people in the Top 25 right now at least Colorado has ranked win on the road to back their's up.

Duke isn't a top 25 team either but they beat a ranked team at home.

Do we want polls to be about performance on the field or a beauty contest?

Did LSU look like the number 14th team in the country?
You have USC, Washington, Utah and Oregon all in the top 25 so someone is getting kicked out at some point.
Don't get me started on Oregon State.

They shouldn't even release a poll until the 4th week but we know that won't happen.

Hypers be hyping.

how about...

wait for it...

we stop overreacting to week 3 polls?

Keyshawn Johnson — former NFL wide receiver, Super Bowl champion and co-host of ‘Undisputed’ on FS1 — delivered regarding the Huskers’ upcoming rivalry game at Colorado this Saturday. In essence, Johnson said Nebraska is no match for the Buffaloes’ and their elite talents on offense.

“I watched Nebraska play against Minnesota. Nebraska’s sorry, man,” Johnson said. “Nebraska’s slow. They’re sorry. They’re not going to be able to keep up. As far as the Big Ten goes, the matchup: Ohio State with all that speed playing against Nebraska. Think that for Colorado.”

So, are you implying that Neon Deon will be very successful at CU and will be on the move up then? I still think the jury is out on that. One game doesn't make that type of claim, IMO. He will likely run Huskers by 10+ though, not sure if that means much though. I have a good amount at CU - 1.5.

FTR the players on that team that won a road game against a ranked team ain’t the players that won one game last year.
