QB Sanders has a Rolls Royce.

BREAKING

Son of one of the biggest star pro athletes of the 90s who no doubt has his own lucrative NIL deal has nice car. Tom Brady feels need to comment for some reason. Hoopla dumbass makes thread about it.
BOOM.

I’ve lost a ton of interest and posted about it over the last couple years.

But I have no problem with players getting paid, and I don’t think that’s the problem as much as the NCAA fighting tooth and nail to prevent it to the point of it being legislated and out of their control so there’s no real structure to it.

The transfer portal thing, it sucks, but also makes it possible for teams to turn around from a bad year quickly. Which is potentially good for the sport.

I don’t think either of those things are the sole reason some of us are losing interest, and for the part they do play I don’t think it’s the concepts in general, but more the way they’ve been implemented.
Super conferences are a big reason why my interest is waning. I’ll probably always watch every UGA game, but outside of gambling purposes, the rest of it doesn’t hold my attention like it used to.

Another part is kinda like what happens when the coyote catches the roadrunner. Waited my whole life for a natty, seen back to back now, and now there’s nothing to chase after as a fan anymore

i still enjoy it.. probably because I cheer for the uniform first.. I have no problem keeping up with the members on the UT roster at all. I contribute to two different NIL programs benefiting UT.

I get why people don't feel the same but attendance and the TV ratings are up across the board

relax man, you won back to back championships after a 40 plus year wait. Don't worry your hunger will be there again now that you won't 3 peat unless WRs begin to crumble in the CFP again

It is just me or are any of you finding yourself also losing enthusiasm for college football? Oh sure, we still want our team to win but we can't begin to name even half the starters and we no longer devour any and every sports column written about our players. When So&So fucks up a play you find yourself disgusted instead of disappointed. This money chase with all the bling and players skipping from team to team has taken a lot of the fun out of the game. We'll always be fans but it's just not the same anymore.

I agree, hard to put my finger on when/or how it exactly changed for me… but the 2000s and early 2010s I would be following all the recruiting news and chatting on Buckeyes boards almost daily about football and bball. Hasn’t been that way for the past 5 plus years.

Overall it just feels like the schools, traditions, the playing for your state, the ‘no one person’ is bigger than the school other than maybe the HC - it all feels shallow and meaningless now

You gotta be tough to beat UGA, and if your receivers are brittle bitches, you better have a bunch of depth

Like I said: gross and vulgar.

lol y'all gotta be kidding me man..

it was always like this minus the portal.. recruiting was always dirty, now it's in the open.. but i guess ignorance is bliss when it comes to reminiscing about the past...

too bad we can't bury our heads in the sand and be callowed

Hey you may be right, maybe age and time - not the changes - is why I’m watching less

Not the same for sure. I'm wondering when do we reach "critical mass" (for lack of a better term) regarding the revenue/expense continuum? Or in stock market terms a "market correction"? Or do revenue and expenses keep going straight up?

Just like the pro game(s) I’d include baseball and football, loyalty has been moved to the back burner in favor of the money grab.
The fans get it but at the same time it has killed a lot of the purity & passion as well.

Also, yea kid has a Rolls but big deal, we all know Motorcycles are where it’s at!

Yeah but who drives a rolls. Those are meant to be driven in.

I don’t even know the name of my teams HC.

New AD fired my boy Tim Lester, so I’m done till that dildo gets fired as AD. Which won’t take long in the big scheme.

I’m enjoying watching all the other teams just as much though.

I think the end result is we are going to have even more of a two-tiered system than in the past. We’re going to see the same 5-10 good teams every year and everyone else is going to have to fight for the scraps. It’s always been like that to an extent, but it’s much more pronounced now.
I kind of agree, but I think there will be about 15-25 good teams that will cycle every few years to provide 5-10 good teams in any given year.

SEC:
UGA
Bama
LSU
Texas
OU
Auburn
UF
Tenn
ATM

B1G:
tOSU
UM
PSU
USC
Ore
Washington
Wisky
UCLA

B12:
KSU
Utah
Baylor
OSU
BYU

ACC:
Clemson
FSU
Miami

ND

That's 25:

UCLA, Wisky, and all the B12 teams are stretches. So you could say 18-20, then another 10 or so that could move in ... UNC, Louisville, KSU, Ole Miss ... that type of team.

Out of those, I hope that we get some annual or cyclical parity that would give you 5-10 good teams each year in the CFP.

This year is really interesting as no team is in that Elite tier yet. You would expect that to come from Bama, UGA, LSU, tSOU, UM, Clemson, or OU, based on past years. But none of them appear Elite ... yet. You have UDub, FSU, Texas making noise. A lot of teams breaking in new QBs. We'll see what happens in the next month, but right now you have a lot of good teams, but no team that you just look at and say they would blow everyone out.
