GAME Ole Miss (15) @ Alabama (13) - 2:30pm CST - CBS

So much for Bama sucking. Still have a way to go, but they looked better. Dammit.
They'll get better as milroe continues to grow in this offense.. OL is beginning to come together as well

After watching yesterday. I am hoping that the offensive line getting its collective shit together in the second half was not a one time deal. If we can give Milroe time to think about what he needs to do even a few seconds longer, he appears to be serviceable as a QB. Couple that with a defense that appears to be starting to gel and look like the Bama defenses of old, and we might have something moving forward. One game at a time.

Not to mention Rees called a pretty good game, needs to keep that up. My only WTF with him yesterday was going shotgun at the 1 after we blocked the punt. Ended up losing 22 yards and kicking a FG.

Get under center and QB sneak that shit

I am glad you mentioned that. My first comment when we lined up was what the fuck. Milroe is 6'2" and over 230 lbs. Let the line and his big lanky ass push into the end zone. Rees has been a major part of our problem this year. He doesnt understand how to use Milroe to his capabilities. I think Saban got in his ear yesterday at the half and advised him to fix the issues or he would fix them for him. We have other offensive staff that could call plays.

Overall it was better than before. Certainly room for improvement. But finally started seeing some more RPOs and designed QB runs. Whatever they said at halftime needs to continue going forward.

It's not the Alabama of old, but seems like there are no dominant teams this year and we could certainly hang around and beat anyone on our best day. Long way to go, but still a lot to play for.

Fuck Pete Golding

Besides that, as has been mentioned, the oline is looking better after recovering from some injuries. The ground game worked. The defense was solid and seeing them bring pressure was nice.

For one week I don't have any complaints except the slow start and it seemingly taking the refs lack of clarification about us getting a 1st down to get fired up.

After watching a few games yesterday I have determined that Arkansas and LSU will be tough games this year. We should beat Miss. St coming up. Texas A&M is a wild card right now, but at their house is always tough. If we can get through the three tough games, I dont see Auburn being that hard to deal with. While they have a decent defense, they have zero offense. And if we can get to the Championship game, Georgia looks susceptible to fall. While the defense is good, the offense is only mediocre. That will be a good game if we can make it. Like I said earlier though, one game at a time. We still have a long way to go to be back to what I call Bama football.

Agreed on State and Auburn. But Auburn in Auburn. The thing with A&M is their defensive front is good, really good. Our OL has to improve a lot. And I felt like Johnson played better than Weigman yesterday. I can't tell with LSU and Arky yet. LSU looks worse somehow, but they always get up for a game against us. Arkansas looks the same to me. UTK looks down. But yeah, one game at a time.

Holding Kiffin and his offense to 10 points was pretty impressive

so, you heard any reason why they benched Milroe vs South Florida? It doesn't make sense that they didn't give him any run last week. Despite his faults/decision makings at times, he was clearly the best option. Had he played last week down there, imagine how much better the showing might have been yesterday.

Also is Justice Young still injured? I don't ever see him getting carries

I think Saban's entire plan was to see if his two backups had anything in game time situations. What is did was separate the two backups to give a clearer picture that the transfer was not worth the effort to put in any longer. We now have a new second string QB and a serviceable backup and Buchner can look for a new team for next year. While Milroe looked lost at times yesterday, once the offensive line started blocking like they should, he looked much better.

Who is Justice Young? I know we have a Justice Haynes, but he is a Freshman. We have a Richard Young and he is also a Freshman. Didnt know we had a Justice Young.

lol yeah i meants Haynes lol.. he looked terrific in the spring game

Also one of the IT $9.95ers pod this morning recapping last nights games mentioned that Rees told Saban he couldn't run his full playbook with Milroe as the starter.. So Nick said ok, use your guys and show me.. well we saw how craptastic it was and basically he had no choice to put Milroe in this week.. and that he is now calling plays to help Milroe be his best.

Said it's safe to say Rees will be elsewhere next season.. the guy is married to his own playbook..it was a bad hire by Nick

Satan knew he could beat USF with anyone. Coaches don’t care about pretty. He gave QB2 and QB3 a half each. QB competition over as neither showed they were better under live fire. Simpson now QB2 - he came in yesterday for a play. Now for Rees to adjust the O to a running, uneven QB.

they need the run game to be the focal point because Jalen can deliver a pretty deep ball that's pretty accurate off play action

They have the talent, just not sure about the development and coaching. After 15 years of being poached, the coaching issue finally caught up with him.

- OL - if they play like they played 2nd half yesterday, that's huge, because

- QB1 will be way better with a clean pocket, and they have great RBs ready to go.

- Their D toughened up.

Two of those we heard pre-season would be strengths ... OL and D. And they haven't been.

All that said, Ole Miss looked like shit and that surprised me. I'll wait to see how they do against LSU, Arky, ATM, and UTjr.

You guys looked good. I've seen a lot of people say if they were ranking starting this week you guys would be no. 1. I am not sure I can disagree, but fuck you and your bully cow.

I know Bama has some issues this year with new starters. I know one guy they lost off last year's team is an absolute dawg and would be tough to replace. As a Lions fan -- he is one of my favorite players after just 3 games and will end up being one of the biggest steals in the draft. Brian Branch is all over the field for us. Guy already has a pick 6 off Mahomes. Today he brought the wood on Bijan Robinson -- knocked Bijan's helmet off with the tackle. Had 11 tackles, 4 tackles for loss and 2 pass defensed today.

My 10 year old asked me to buy him a Brian Branch jersey after watching him today.

Kid is a player and will do well for a long time. You guys also have Williams, man I miss that kind of speed. I don't gamble, but pretty dumb that he got suspended. But I guess the rules are in place for a reason lol

Yeah I'm believing in this team so far.. usually even vs a bad team like Baylor..we tend to struggle.. first time in a long time that we just whipped them from start to finish while playing almost the entire roster

I knew they would be game for Bama and they will always be game for ou.. it's the other schools where they tend to play down. See how they do at home vs KU this week :)
