Well of course, he's only started a few games in his career. The talent is obviously there for him to excel, and I see no reason to think he won't excel.

He has the same issues that Stroud had early on, the hanging onto the ball too long sort of indecisiveness. He just needs to get over that.
 
Lots of people thought Wingo might be at the RRR this weekend but not the case.

He gone ... Mizzou going to get their second 5*. Seeing Burden put up big yards and get paid is going to be hard to beat.

This is the type of thing that if we see this over the next 5 years will drive parity. Not so much that Mizzou will be great - they won't - but that it takes a 5* away from the teams that normally get them. To be more gracious to Mizzou, if they get one of these a year, and do well in the portal, they could get in the 12-team CFP every now and again. That would be cool to see that happen for Mizzou-like teams.

who is a lot of people..?? UT sites never had his name going there.. In fact we are hosting this year (home team) and it's going to be full of '25 kids

He was always going to take another trip to Mizzu.. he canceled the one last week for CU

I'm highly confident when he announces.. it will be for UT :)

he's not going to Mizzu lol.. ou lost the DE there because of NIL.. Wingo isn't getting the best deal in that dept to stay at Mizzu

You do realize there is a lot of buzz for Wingo to Mizzou, right? It's not like they can't come up with more money for another player.

if the buzz was real he would have committed there in August.. there's a reason why picks are all on UT :)

Except they aren't. 67% - 33% on 247, under 50% on On3. Rivals leans UT more heavily.

Buzz doesn't dictate when someone commits. Candidly, the longer he stays not committed to UT, the more time Mizzou and Burden can convince him to go to Mizzou.

he is a silent to UT, he gave them a commitment on his OV here a couple weeks ago where he brought down his entire family. The staff was told he was going to make the CU and the mizzu visit then as well... People expect him to announce in December, but everyone knows he'll do it before then.

He was an OU lean for a long time as well. NIL, Parents, and kids these days you can't count on anything until they sign on the dotted line.

I get that and things can turn but that's what's happened..

I also think when it comes to NIL.. he needs to look no further than Worthy.. that kid has a lot of deals that I'm still learning about.. like i knew about the sonic/raising canes smaller deals.. then of course the Call of Duty and Lambo deals.. but i just learned that he has a deal with American Airlines as well. If Wingo is what he's supposed to be, he should be cashing in similarly, imo

Ah, the old "silent" commit. According to sports boards. C'mon man, be may end up at UT. I'll say he is likely to UT. But the "silent" commit .... you've been around too long to fall for that. Hell, these days the non-silent commits are susceptible to NIL and that's what Mizzou has. That and Burden playing well.

Their coach is a dweeb who likely gets fired at the end of the year. You have that going for you.

So many "silent commits" have not panned out over the years. I can't believe people still actually use that phrase as if it means anything.

it may not mean anything, but it's the reason why Fong or Simmons haven't backed off their UT picks. The folks that picked mizzu were back in August.. notice how a couple flipped to UT, while others put thier casts in last month?

Like i said sure it might not work out.. but Baker was a silent since July and that one worked out
