Kirby Smart Thinks All 14 SEC Teams Should Be In The Top 25

wow.. franklin in year 8 vs auburn with a walking dead HC..

What about 2020 against Minnesota?

Or Northwestern in 2021?

Missouri “escaped” the top 20 team and heavily favored Kansas State. That’s one of the few OOC wins the SEC should feel good about until UGA goes 2-0 in the playoffs again
ou can put it in "" all you want but a 60yard field goal, while amazing and impressive, is an escape

The SEC is so good your team has to their reject QBs out of the portal.
dude Auburn has a Michigan State and Oregon QB as their 1,2
Tenn has a Michigan dude
South Carolina has dude from OKlahoma
Kentucky doing better with an ACC guy
LSU has an Arizona State QB

Now you’re just talking crazy talk.
yeah not like Nix had even close to the O line or WR he has at Oregon when he was at Auburn. not to mention playing for a coach who got fired then another coach who got fired.

Ole Miss has a USC guy as well

Florida has a Wisconsin reject.

It sounds dumb to me. I'd like to know the question he was asked. But, yeah, probably would like a mulligan on that one.

No such thing as “P2/B1G/SEC supremacy”. It’s a myth. The actual on-field results just don’t show it.

Outside of UGA, and usually Bammy (but they kinda suck this year), and sometimes LSU (they also kinda suck this year, too), I don’t see what’s so special about the SEC.

Outside of OHST, UM, and once-in-a-while PSU, I don’t see what’s so great about the B1G.

They both look pretty top-heavy to me. 2-team leagues, maybe sometimes 3-team, in a really good year.

If any conf, top to bottom, is really tougher/better than the rest, it’s obviously the Pac 12.

It’s all about ratings and trophies.

You get them and you get paid. Don’t and you get to complain.

It's always cyclical. The SEC gets the benefit of the doubt because they own the NCs and normally finish with a lot of ranked teams. Last year they had the NC and 6 top 25 teams at year's end.

What you're saying the Pac-12 is this year has been the B1G many years also. For example, in 2019, the B1G finished with 6 of the top 18 teams. They've had several seasons in the CFP era with 5+ ranked teams.

This year, it's what we think we're seeing from the Pac12, and it may end up being that way. I think they have a couple of legit NC contenders. Then next year? Who knows.

My problem with that "benefit of the doubt" is that is very much extends to SEC teams who have not done anything to deserve it. They just get it because they are in the same conference as teams that win national titles. Like that magically somehow makes them better than they really are.

its a weird statement in a year when
Florida lost to Utah
South Carolina lost to North Carolina
LSU lost to FSU
Bama lost to Texas
A&M lost to Miami
Vandy lost to Wake Forest
Vandy lost to UNLV
Arkansas lost to BYU

along with
Missouri getting by Middle Tenn
Miss state going OT with Arizona
Auburn edging Cal
missouri escaping Kansas State
We have something in common with the Dores. Damn you @Peter Gozintite!

While you are correct, on field results don't matter. Those crappy teams in the B1G and SEC are making bank while being mediocre at best. Gotta give 'em credit. Getting big checks without having to deliver.

This just goes to show you that we need more teams in the top 25. How many can we fit?

“I personally think every SEC team should be ranked. I can guarantee you there are some teams that don’t want to play them that are ranked. I mean, I don’t — I literally have no idea what you’re referencing because every team we play in the SEC is good enough to beat us and whether they’re ranked or not, I could care less,” the Georgia head coach said a press conference this week when talking about rankings, according to On3.com.

Sounds about right.
SEC, SEC, SEC!
Smart ain’t just his last name!

SEC! SEC! SEC!
