And it’s probably gonna lead to players leaving and torching any progress Miami has made:

“Two hands on the ball”

What a Moron :laugh3:

"We should have taken a timeout right there at the end and get the first down and we've talked about two hands on the ball"

Huh?

Why in the fuck are you trying to extend the game when you've got the lead and can run the clock out?

This mf just in denial and projecting.

I think he literally does not understand the < 2 minutes kneel down strategy. He's talking about a lot of stuff that makes no sense.

Are we getting into a generation of coaches who were first inspired to coach from playing the NCAA Football video games so they think running plays for stats instead of killing the game is a perfectly reasonable strategy?

For real, the move is bizarre, refusing to acknowledge it being stupid and taking some responsibility is next level bizarre.

So the Miami thing actually gets stupider, if you can believe it. Cristobal just doesn’t take a knee at the end of games. He hasn’t all year. I don’t understand it. I’m not sure anyone would understand it. But it’s his thing.

According to Cristobal, you guys just don't understand his incredible genius.

First of all, by not wasting time with the victory formation, he saves time during practice to focus on other things. This is called analytics-based efficiency!

Second, kneeling is an act of submission that is only for BETA MALE LOSERS! As a true ALPHA MALE WINNER, Cristobal would never kneel!!!

I gotta say, everybody else is responsible for my fuckups too. I wish y'all would get it together.

You got to remember Cristobal played on those 80’s Miami teams and it was all about the swagger.

“Hell yeah we will go for 2 for the win we won’t play for ties.”

“Kneeling down is for pussies!”

Same energy.

That was a very Brian Kelly thing to say. He makes boneheaded calls and it’s “we didn’t execute” (ie my plan was perfect the players messed it up).

To be fair Miami had huge leads in 3 of those games so likely giving back-ups some playing time.

Up 15 on A&M is questionable since they were at their own 4 yd line. A Fumble there, a quick TD, and onside kick TD, and two point conversion somewhere could have led to similar disaster.

Last night only being up 3 (with the starters likely in) was a monumental fuck-up though.

Errrr. That wasn't Miami. It was actually Tom Osborne and Nebraska in the Orange Bowl against Miami.

His quote was "Going for the tie is like having to kiss your sister".

Err no. They went got 2 against ND in the ‘88 game when a tie likely would have kept them in 1st place.
