New B10 schedules released for 2024 and uh...

6 pages in and i realized the title is wrong. they released the teams that will make up the schedule but not the actual schedule.

Oregon has just as much chance of playing @ Michigan, Ohio State, Washington, @Wisconsin all in November, back to back as they are to play @Michigan in September, Ohio State in October, @Wisconsin on the first Saturday of November and Washington the final weekend of the regular season.

I mean, I can say they fucked up because Lance never did anything and ended up being traded for beans. If Lance looked as awful as he did in that system, while Fields has actually shown multiple glimpses of elite play in Chicago's system, I can say very confidently he's a better QB than Lance and SF fucked up.

San Fran, one way or another, has their franchise QB. They fucked up taking Lance, obviously, but at the end of the day have a stud QB. It's not like Fields has proven himself yet. He's got a long way to go. For as good as his last two games were, his first three were just as shitty. Replacing Lance with Fields doesn't really do any good for the 49ers.

Yeah, I would agree there isn't a QBU. But wouldn't one think the "biggies" could at least stumble upon a good one every now and then? I mean, they get the pick of the litter.

And I may be completely overlooking some.
“This is simply a ridiculous attitude!”

Leave it to the B1G to fuck up a schedule release

Releasing just the upcoming opponents without dates seems fine.

Work with the network partners on dates.

It's hard to say. Obviously yes, SF has their QB and he's very good, but we have no idea what would've happened if Fields had the chance to develop under a coherent coaching staff like what SF has. Fields has 30 career starts including this season. He's had two HCs (neither worth a shit), 3 OCs and 3 QB coaches. Lance had that opportunity and has proven to be a complete bust while Fields has shown multiple signs of potential in arguably the worst situation for a QB in the NFL.

Fields also hasn't been very good though. His current OC actually has a very good track record. If you're so dependent upon scheme/coach, I don't think that says a lot about the QB play.

LOL no he doesn't. He had one year as an OC at Miss State and they were 3rd to last in the conference in PPG and 4th to last in YPG. Otherwise he's gotten to work with one of the greatest QBs of all-time who likely didn't even need him there. That's his track record.

There isn't a QB in the NFL who would have been successful if they were in Fields' position for their pro career. I know you like to shit on OSU, but you're way off base here. I know Fields' hasn't been elite and has a ways to go, but to act like his situation regarding coaching and overall surrounding talent has played no part is intentionally ignorant at best.

It's also Miss State. And from an efficiency standpoint, they were worse the year before and worse the year after. And you'll probably dismiss it, but GB was much better on offense in 2020 and 2021 than last year.

I don't like to shit on OSU. Stroud has looked amazing. Fields hasn't. Fields still misses a ton of throws, and holds on to the ball to long. It's not like I'm on an island with this, everybody is saying it. If the season were to end today, they would no doubt draft Caleb.

They would be better off trading which ever pick to sometimes that wants Caleb, get some added draft capital and get some decent OL.

Not if Fields plays the way he has thus far. He's shown some flashes no doubt, but hasn't been consistent enough.

I hate to say it because I am not sold on Fields, but no QB would look good with that OL. Caleb included. Build the line, then get a QB.

"It's also Miss State" - they were behind Vanderbilt that year in YPG and tied for PPG. Also if he did so well, why didn't Miss St try and keep him on? He had a veteran QB who had arguably his worst season in college playing for Getsy.

As I've said, Fields has a ways to go, but Getsy is doing nothing to help him. I'm reminded of the TB game when he called the same RB screen 3 straight plays that led to the pick-6 for TB. What is he thinking? Also, no shit GB's offense was worse last year. Their leading receiver was Allen Lazard. Shocking that you take away one of the best WRs this century and leave the offense with nobodies playing WR, you end up with an offense that doesn't look as good. The season ending today is irrelevant, and if they don't make major changes on that coaching staff and handle the OL, Caleb is going to fail just like every other QB to play for Chicago.

Probably because the QB coach for GB, is a better job than OC for Miss State? It's not like he was fired.

Okay, so you've admitted he has a long way to go? So how long of a leash does he get? They are going to have to make a decision soon to extend him long-term. If he's not any better the rest of the year, we'll have 3 years of evidence. Almost nobody gets a 4th year, if they've proven not capable.

I'm confused by the direction of this thread
