crying because you have to play some good teams. I would relish the Bucks playing all those teams. Quit bitchin!

I don't look for a good record next year but it will be fun to measure up with Oregon, USC and Penn St in conference and Alabama OOC

In 2025, Alabama, Michigan, Oregon, Ohio State and Washington

When I say a down year -- I'm thinking like 3-4 losses with the gauntlet of teams we play next year. We have a lot of depth, but the key positions are where we lack depth, like QB. Michigan is not like an Alabama where you can have a mediocre QB and still compete with the elite programs.

Harbaugh missing on QB's is what hindered UM in the beginning of the Harbaugh era. Peters could make all the throws, but he was a statue in the pocket. Pocket presence is just not something you can teach. McCaffrey had all the tools to be a great QB, but he could not put on weight and in less than a full games worth of snaps at UM, he broke his collarbone and had a concussion so severe, it knocked him out for the year. Joe Milton was always going to be a huge project and he is still one at Tennessee. Cade McNamara was a solid QB, but was nothing more than a game manager.

I'm really hoping Jadyn Davis is the real deal, as the guy is completing like 80% of his passes in high school, which is absurd. And I've got to watch Bryce Underwood multiple times in person -- he is going to be a star. His freshman and sophomore years -- he threw for almost 6,000 yards and 76 tds, while completing 65% of his passes, playing in the highest level of high school football in Michigan. He has a high school record of 33-1 so far. He also showed he could run when he wanted to, by gaining 700 yards on the ground as a sophomore.

Crazy part is -- He is the first african american kid I've ever seen named Bryce. He is already 6'3" 210 lbs as a sophomore. Whoever gets him will be getting a special QB.
Lebron's son is named Bryce, but he's just black, not African American.

Exactly ... this is how the SEC and B1G are going to earn their billions. It's divisionless football with the new teams in the conference. Every week there are going to be 3-5 elite games just from those two conferences.

There are also going to be more losses. You don't go undefeated playing that many good games. There is a reason this all aligns with the 12 team CFP expansion. I've been saying this since 2019 at least. It's going to be hella fun, but also different when you lose a game a realize your season ain't over.
Next year will be a pretty drastically different look for CFB. I'm interested to see how it looks and feels and what really happens near the end of the season. But it's really hard to look at the SEC and now B10 schedules for 2024 and see how any of the other conferences are going to get any kind of media coverage.

Oh yeah. I forgot about him. I have always seen Bryce in the same light with names like Connor, Tanner, Lucas, Colton -- You know, the names that 99% of white parents name their boys these days.

Don't forget about former Kansas State/Tennessee legend Bryce Brown, the top recruit in 2009.

Again, an tosu fan must be reminded of the John Cooper era
Do you need to be reminded of when the John Cooper era was? It's gonna make you feel old, but that era ended 23 years ago.

But when are you gonna play those teams? And I am not saying one at a time

I remember it. I also remember the Earl Bruce era. However, the point is if we are going to talk about winning streaks then all winning streaks are in play

Those are definitely fair points. It's bizarre to me, though, with Harbaugh coming in as a supposed "QB whisperer" that he hasn't had luck with any of his own QBs until just now with JJ. I'm sure QB won't be the only position you'll go to the portal for next year with the OL and RB losses, and you guys seem to do fine there, so I'm not sure you all should be planning on some big down year.
That has been a frustration for the first few years of his tenure. Nothing dynamic has happened with the QB position for a guy that was supposed to be a guru. They also didn't have an offensive identity. It felt like a hodgepodge of different styles. Were they a power running team or a spread offense? You could never tell and it showed. I think the past 3 seasons they have finally settled on something and committed to it.

Ohio State gets....Oregon

I like it. The Badgers essentially replaced Indiana and Illinois with USC and Oregon. That makes things more interesting.

Not really. His comment said michigan fans haven't been able to say that in 20 years, which was right. It has nothing to do with the Cooper era in that context.

We'll see how their offense looks next year after their departures this year. You're right though, throughout the Harbaugh era they haven't had any kind of offensive identity. I'm not sure if this one is legit or just a result of all the pieces falling into place for the last couple years.

Agreed, only time will tell but I would hope this is the flavor they will commit to. Its a more run oriented offense, which is fine if it works. I can't believe i am saying this, but finding a 1,000 rusher is a lot easier than trying to find a 4-5 star WR or Qb
