Oh, I guess we have different definitions of long-awaited. For me, it's either a sequel a long time after the previous installment, or something that went through development hell for several years.

without thinking, i'd have to say dumb and dumber to. they came out with a shitty dumb and dumberer movie a decade after the original that was hot garbage, when another decade later they announced a sequel with both original actors in it, i was hopeful... given time to think, i'm sure i could come up with other potentials.

Not that "many" were waiting on it, but this last Halloween made me want to cry. Been a Halloween fan for over three decades. I can still watch the first one of the new trilogy over and over. This last one was plain and simple trash.

Ready Player One. I loved the book and was excited when they announced Spielberg was directing the movie. Actually went to an opening weekend showing in NYC while the wife and kid went to see Wicked on broadway (tickets we won at their daily lottery).

What a pile of shit that movie was.
