Nebraska -12.5 hosting Northwestern?

I have to take Northwestern to cover here if not outright win.

Yes Northwestern's bad, but so is Nebraska.

Here's why......

Nebraska is 6-6 against Northwestern since joining the Big 10, with only two of those games decided by 12 points or more.
This is the same Nebraska that did their damnedest to give that game to Illinois two Saturdays ago.
This is the same Nebraska that has spent years playing down to their opponent.
This is the same Nebraska that is 2-7 coming off of bye weeks since joining the Big 10.

These are Nebraska's 2nd half possessions against Illinois....

I'm not going to put a premium blue plate guarantee on it but note it as an "interesting play".

Illinois has NFL talent on the defensive side of the ball. Northwestern doesn't have NFL talent anywhere.

I wouldn't put your results against Illinois and expect the same against NW.

Outside of Michigan twho dominated both lines of scrimmage, Nebraska's wounds are mostly self inflicted.

Max has always been shaky in the playoffs too. Pair that with a long layoffs and the Astros getting plus odds, I think it’s a good bet, but I’ll never call a baseball bet a lock
