Chris Collinsworth used to be great. He has fallen off hard though in the last 3-4 years. It's unfortunate because so has Al Michaels.

Of course you like Aikman - he hates Brady too!!!!!Oddly, I've always like Aikman and never got the criticism. I appreciate how he never seems to say anything obviously self-serving.
I will say that as far as being an obnoxious ass, Joe Buck is in the rookie leagues compared to Chris Collinsworth.
I watched parts of at least 100 Cubs games a year just to hear Harry after 27 Budweisers.
He’s ok. But he’s not his dad or even closeI don't mind listening to Buck call a baseball game, but not so much when it comes to football. Aikman is so so as an announcer just like he was as a QB.
Someone mentioned Collinsworth up thread and I will let it be known that I would pay lots of money to watch someone rip the vocal chords right out of that shmarmy assholes throat, after that I hope he has a nice life.
If you want any further proof what a piece of shit Joe Buck is, look no further than comments he made at the beginning of last Sunday's game:

Broadcasters Joe Buck and Troy Aikman caught on hot mic appearing to mock military flyovers as wasteful
Military flyovers can be awe-inspiring to watch and are practically tradition at many sporting events.www.cnn.com
The chronology of events tells you everything you need to know:
1. Comments were posted to Twitter of pre-game comments made by Aikman and Buck, mocking military flyovers.
2. Buck complains that it was done to make him look bad, never acknowledging the political opinion.
3. Then Buck says that his comments were meant to be sarcastic and were instead mocking a super leftist crew-member (unnamed of course) who doesn't like flyovers.
4. Aikman apologizes and says that his comments were ill-advised and apologized.
5. Buck changes course a bit and says that the comments weren't on a "hot mic" at all, and were deliberately taped, taken out of context and strung together the other video, to make him look bad. He claims an investigation is underway to find out who "sold" the audio.
6. Buck goes on a podcast yesterday and whines that he has two grandfathers who served in WWII and offers this as proof that he must be patriotic and could never have condemned a military flyover.
7. Fox remains silent on the issue, neither punishing Buck or lending credence to whether the origin of the comments is being investigated.
The flaw is that Buck wants you to believe that Troy Aikman is capable of sarcasm. Aikman apologizing is the equivalent of asking to be represented by a different lawyer.
I don't know if I ever heard his old man call a game. I was fortunate to have some great announcers in the Boston sports scene when I was younger and the current crop of screamers makes me want to kick a puppy. He’s ok. But he’s not his dad or even close

Must've been heavily edited to make him appear good.Joe Buck was great on Brockmire.
So how much are you going to charge me to rip his vocal cords out?I like Aikman, I dislike Joe Buck and I hate Collinsworth.
My Grandpa was a big Cubbies fan. I remember as a kid watching days games with him at Wrigley back when they had no lights. Harry and Steve were the best. Too bad he never got to see a World Series winner
Buck is terrible at baseball too. I’ll never forget he called one of the all star games that Felix Hernandez pitched where he had a winning record at the time and he said it was because Felix was something to the affect of trying harder. Buck is actually decent on podcasts because he plays to the crowd (which you can’t at football or sports on general), but he just flat out sucks at announcing on television and we all know why he is where he is.I don't mind listening to Buck call a baseball game, but not so much when it comes to football. Aikman is so so as an announcer just like he was as a QB.

Loved listening to him on KMOX at night as a kid. He’s ok. But he’s not his dad or even close
I have warmed up on Joe a little. The dude has taken a beating from people, for a long time, and it all just seems to deflect off his cranium. I wouldnt want to hang out with him, but his voice doesn't bother me.
I did have a moment though, of feeling very old. Like a piercing jolt of,"YOULL BE DEAD SOON!" as hearing the he and Troy Aikman have been doing the broadcasts for 19 years! That mean Aikman has been retired for almost 20 years. Not sure why, but once in a while its like," How fucking old are they?" or "They retired how long ago?", and I realize I'm wasting time.
