More Michigan Cheating

Nah, just a crazy Nebraska fan and a UGA fan. The rest are almost exclusively Ohio State fans. Coaches from around CFB have been asked about it and essentially supported Michigan, including Nebraska's own coach.
I wouldn't say he supported Michigan lol. He said yeah sign stealing happens and then implied that it's done when teams across the field are looking at you. He didn't agree with sending scouts to games to film and steal signs that way.

When asked directly about Michigan, he doesn't comment.

It’s sad what’s happened to Ohio State fans. A once proud fan base resorted to excuse after excuse rather than owning the fact they’re back where they belong, as Michigan's whipping post.

The Flu
The Weather
Covid
Cheeseburgers
and now iPhone 11's
Yeah see, it's only michigan fans that bring that up. Those were never used as excuses, but desperate michigan fans who have had their asses handed to them for the majority of their lives cling to those things. Fact is the rest of college football knows you needed to resort to cheating to try and get to our level. And with all of that cheating, we're still closer to winning a title. Sorry, nothing you say changes anything I just said.

Looks like they’ve built a rampant culture of lying up there.

Same crowd will still say with a straight face that Michigan puts “honor and integrity first!”

So
Michigan goes 1-15 vs Ohio State.

Then the cheating starts and they go 2-0

Nothing funny going on there or anything
The record vs. the rest of the conference made the same drastic change. However its weird that their bowl game record didnt improve. Its almost as if they didnt have time to get the signs from those teams before the bowl game.

didn't Belichik get in trouble for essentially the same thing years ago?

Michigan by all accounts made massive changes. We fired basically everyone on staff, including long time Harbaugh assistants.

And also promoted the guy who was blatantly cheating for your advantage. Don't forget that part.

In Ohio State's situation, this meme is spot on. Big Brother (Michigan) is always keeping an eye on Little Brother (Ohio State)
boom GIF

minor violation at worst, teams commit those regularly. OSU committed something like 12 just last year.

I feel like with all the coverage this is getting Michigan is either going to get the hammer, or absolutely nothing at all will come of it. It's going to come down as a perception thing and if the NCAA wants to prove something or not

I mean, it's a far bigger issue of unethical behavior than any "minor violations", regardless of if MnB is unable to admit it. The minor violations OSU, michigan, and every other school has had in the past are usually self-reported and the NCAA doesn't even do an investigation, so it's not comparable.

Hardly. If sign stealing at it's core was illegal, then this would be a much bigger issue. As is, in person scouting only gives you a minor advantage to the already prevalent sign stealing methods that currently exist (which apparently includes teams trading information with each other). Which would pretty literally be a version of in person scouting if talking to teams your opponents have already faced.

the term I saw was "victim(s)" in regards to him but I'm pretty sure all this came about from an outside firm hired to investigate this and they stumbled upon the sign stealing stuff.

They've since turned it over to the NCAA. So basically if this is true, the NCAA has every bit of proof of the operation and its scope.
So Michigan in essence caught themselves cheating. That would also mean the leaders at the University made the decision not protect the football staff and are actually saying they are not a “Football school” and are foremost an institution of higher education and conference/national championships be damned. Doesn’t that make you feel good @MAIZEandBLUE09?

What you just quoted is not true. The outside firm was not in fact something associated with the University or investigating something else, stumbling upon this information.

1. How do you know this?

2. Then how did this outside firm get access to inside information that they then gladly turned over? The idea being that if they didn't get it cooperatively, what they did was likely illegal. The further idea being that if it was illegally gotten they wouldn't have turned it over.

Logically, they would have had to have gotten the information legally and the only way to do that was to be operating with the approval of UM.

You probably won’t make it. We’ve seen your QB.
LOL ... there are all sorts of things that you can point at as to why we might not repeat, but our QB isn't one of them. We are a very good team, but not Elite. It's almost as if you don't know anything about UGA football.

You have a very good team but not Elite. And now that you can't steal signals it will be interesting to see how good you really are when you play someone decent.
