Isn't that the end game?None of that is ever going to happen. The NCAA will sooner put a cap on NIL earnings than go full minor league football. There are far too many logistical things that would need to take place that would essentially cause 80% of teams to just fold their football program.
You are probably correct....but over half of that 80% are living in lala land and aren't having honest conversations with themselves. I'm going to say 90% of the G5s can't pony up to that level. 10% can but won't and the last 10% are like SMU...aka richer than six feet up a bull's ass.Here are my issues with your response:
1. I'm no lawyer but I don't think you can put a cap on NIL due to the SCOTUS ruling
2. The NCAA will shut up or the big dogs will move on
3. Different rules for different divisions so schools could decide if they want to stay status quo and potential move down or pony up but I don't think we would see near the 80% attrition you think.
