Time to Fire Ryan Day

I really wish Day would have gone for the first down before the half, but I disagreed with Sherrone Moore settling for a field goal at the end of the game as well, especially when your best CB is sitting on the sidelines. It came pretty close to backfiring on him.

Choices are judged in hindsight.

Sherrone Moore is a better coach than Day. They’re fucking interim coach.

Day is mentally weak and that rubs off on his players. You have to gamble every now and then. I remember a lot of people saying getting rid of a coach that wins 10 games pretty well every year for a first time HC was a risky move for UGA. Seemed to work out

That like magic spark that was there at times under Tressel and Meyer just isn’t there with Day. Something is definitely missing. Especially against Michigan

Ohio States AD starting to say the quiet part out loud. Lol losers. Cryin Ryan

Should’ve known at this moment, the nuts had no chance. Pure cringe.

Lol so we can lose to Michigan AND in the 1st round of the new playoff every year. Then people will be saying “YOU CANT FIRE HIM HE MADE THE PLAYOFF!!” And we will never get rid of his ass.

gonna have to be a different barometer when we expand to 12 obviously

I think you're jumping the gun on Day for now though

history may prove you right

but again we can't just punt a top 2 class because we lost to Michigan.

Big games are all that matters in todays game. Day is proving more and more he can’t win them. Nobody gives a shit about 2nd rate consolation bowls anymore.

and If UGA knee jerked on Kirby like you're wanting with Day they'd not be back to back champs right now.

Don't get me wrong. I threw my remote at the wall after the pick (it survived) and was pretty much in a terrible mood for the next few hours but eventually cooler heads must prevail
Rubber walls or girly toss?

I remember when Nebraska fans wanted to fire Tom Osborne in the 70's because he couldn't beat Oklahoma.

In the 80's it was "He can't win the big ones" (bowls).

Osborne inherited a team from Bob Devaney that won back-to-back NC's in 1970 and 1971.

NO!! Keep him at tOSU until A&M has hired a coach.

Ryan Day is 56-7 at Ohio State in 5 years. He lost to the #2 team in the country on the road by less than a TD.

Get a fuggin grip
I think you have to keep him at least one more season but he is..

1-3 against michigan
1-3 in the cfp

The playcalling in big games is fucking vanilla. He just got out-coached by an interim who was much more aggressive than him. You can't be coaching scared. And it rubs off on the team who did NOT match UM's intensity on the field.. yet again.

Yep it’s not all equal at all schools. With how Ohio State recruits we should not be missing the playoff 2/3 years because we get pantsed by a less talented Michigan. It’s all on the coaching.

Context is important.

Michigan during those 3 years:
2023 - #2 12-0
2022 - #3 13-1
2021 - #3 12-2

The CFP Losses:

2019 - #2 Clemson 14-1
2020 - #1 Alabama 13-0 (only loss of the season after beating Clemson in the semifinals)
2022 #1 Georgia 15-0 (lost by 1 on a last second field goal)

Talking about firing Ryan Day is silly.

only 4 teams go.

if it was even 8 I don't think OSU misses a single year thus far.

We are talking about college kids. Talent doesn't always win out. And in the case of his losses they weren't the clearly more talented team except Oregon. And that was a Stroud meltdown game.

They have better recruiting rankings than Michigan...sure but Michigan has vets all over the field.

What exactly did Sherrone Moore do that was so aggressive? Going for it on 4th and a foot or two multiple times in good position on the field? You dont think Day would have done that in the same situation?

The trick play? Ok, maybe.

What else?
