FSU files for exit from ACC

I am just saying that if an entire conference can brag about being 6-4 against the SEC and use that as a talking point for playoff consideration, how much more impressive is a single team going 9-0 against the very same conference including a win against Georgia? I mean, apples to apples and all ...

Cmon man it’s a fact ACC went 6-4. Everyone’s schedule is laid out prior to the season. Yes apples apples would be 2 teams undefeated while looking at the OOC as well

Which record against the SEC is better, 6-4 or 9-0? All I am saying is that if you are going to crow about the 6-4 being a playoff contention talking point, then you have to give credit to the 9-0 record as well. And probably more weight to the 9-0, because results ...

Just stop they are all broken at this point.

I've decided to just own the fact that there is a deep-state conspiracy to keep the SEC at the top and anyone who challenges that will be eliminated. Our control is so great that even the NC State AD who was the chair of the selection committee is too freighten not to do our bidding.

If these cretins don't learn to keep their mouths shut we will throw them all into a gulag located in Shreveport, La that has no heat or air, and the only thing that plays on the TVs is the WNBA.

There are honest reasons for FSU to be pissed. Were it up to me, they would be in. But let's not be disingenuous and say there are no valid reasons for putting Bama in either. The truth of the matter is that Bama is a better team and if you were to rank the conference champs from best team to worst on the day of selection, FSU is not as good as the other four.

I'd rather anyone but Bama or Georgia be in it but ignoring reality isn't mentally healthy either.

You’re going maroon. Comparing Bama record to the entire ACC. FSU was undefeated against the SEC too.

Bama losing an OOC game at home by double digits doesn’t count tho

Funny you keep forgetting the loss huh.

There is 1 valid reason Bama shouldn’t be in. Lol

Loss at home.

Oh the conspiracy

I am learning so much ITT about Florida State's potential move out of the ACC!

It was the ACC crowd crowing about being 6-4 and therefore playoff worthy. FSU and Bama both beat LSU so unless beating Florida is more impressive than beating UGA, the "FSU is 2-0" isn't much of an argument either.

It absolutely does, or haven't you noticed Texas is seeded higher than Bama. Do you think that FSU would be able to beat either were the game today?

How does Bama's loss to Texas make FSU better than Bama? Again, if you rank all P5 conference champions from best to worst, where does Bama and FSU fall? Are you saying flat out FSU is a better program today than Alabama?

To the point of this thread if I was FSU I'd want out of the ACC due to how the ACC commish acted. Jim Phillips was all but silent, meanwhile Greg Sankey was out front and a cheerleader for the entire conference. Jim Phillips performance culminated with a MFing press release.

Can’t forget the historic alliance he made with the BIG and PAC. Could’ve been a 12 team playoff this year

Lol

I’m guessing your name is Lloyd Christmas

It wasn't about ACC, according to reports it was about that QB injury.

But we all know that if it was the QB at Alabama, they would still be in.

The QB excuse was just a convenient excuse to ensure a SEC team made it in.
You are an idiot. If the Bama starting QB had been injured 2 or 3 weeks ago and they beat their cupcake, beat Auburn and then beat the #1 team in the country......yes they would stay in the playoff. Bama would NOT hav beat Georgia with their back up QB, neither will FSU in the Orange Bowl.

If Louisville had not lost the week before to Kentucky and FSU beat a Top 10 Louisville, they might have stayed in. The problem for for FSU is they are NOT a top 4 team without Travis and it showed the last 2 weeks.

I forget how many teams exactly it takes to dissolve the ACC, but the top brass in the SEC & B1G should be colluding to try to reach that number right now.

Right off hand I'd figure Clemson, FSU, Va Tech, Louisville & Miami to the SEC

UNC, Virginia, Pitt & Syracuse to the B1G

The SEC and B1G could get it dissolved easily if they offer every single team a home in one of those two conferences. The problem is they don’t want all, they just want the competitive money makers. (Or just money makers) The B1G likely would take 4, the SEC likely only wants two but probably could be talked into taking 4.(by the network) That’s 10 more teams left plus the ND hybrid. Those teams likely aren’t leaving for the B12 unless the ACC gets the shaft from the network after 2036.

Translation, the ACC isn’t going anywhere for a while. And the teams that are leaving early are likely looking at a near half a billion price tag for departure anytime soon. That’s a lot of cheddar to leave.
