Wonder where he ends up...

Shocking.

Unless he knows he is about to be replaced by someone better from the portal?

Hey mods. Feel free to delete. When I posted, I forgot about the Portal thread.

Or unless they told him to hit the door...
Looks like OSU is into Cam Ward from Wazzou which is good for my fantasy team 😇

I thought he committed to Oregon.

Edit: Turns out it was fake news. Shocking. 🙄

Day didn’t commit to him being the starter on Sunday and the next day he’s in the portal. Ohio st has no backup plans from what I’ve read.

Not worried, think we’ll get a transfer or see if Kienholz is ready early.

But surprising move indeed.

surprising, my ass. McCord knew damn well that he wasn't in the plans for 2024, and thank GOD for that. The Buckeyes can and will do MUCH better.

I think moving on from McCord is the right decision either way, he's not a guy who's ever going to get much better at this point. I'm actually SHOCKED that Day actually made the move and told him that he wasn't assured the starting spot next year.

I seriously doubt they "don't have a plan" though. McCord probably sensed we were sniffing around in the portal.

God is good

He was awful against Michigan. Weird he’s leaving tho

Everything that's been coming out about his father (dating back to his HS days) is real fucky. He himself might not be an ass and if so I hope he does well, but his dad sounds like a cancer.

Yep seems like from what I’ve heard that Dad didn’t like the talk Day had with McCord about not being assured the job next year. That’s what triggered the transfer. Dad calls the shots

Sounds like he was one of those super controlling "I'll decide if your program is good enough for my son" type of guys when Kyle was in HS and it didn't really stop in college.

Is this shit true?

No. We had 10 guys transfer after last season. This is nothing new. Nobody outside of McCord and Fleming who’s transferred had an even somewhat favorable depth chart outlook for next year. McCord was going to have to earn to keep the home and Fleming likely would just been in his same role of after thought 3rd/4th option in favor of younger studs at WR.

I love attempting to hype up Fleming. He’s ok but he’s an often injured guy who’s never lived up to expectations, also has drop problems too often. As mentioned above he would end up being our 3rd or 4th WR in the end next year.

People making hilarious claims because of players who were never going to really see the field transferring. Bama had fucking 18 players transfer after 2022, and look at them now. This is just the game now. Higher ranked recruits who fall down the depth chart aren’t going to stick around to sit on the bench
