Saw about a dozen people in the grocery store wearing masks today. This shit is gonna be forever for some people eh?
 
Really shitty last week.

A good friend of my wife's had a severe stroke and 24 hours later she was gone. She wasn't young but it was a shock to everyone. We saw her the Sunday before, not realizing that would be the last time. It's bad enough any time of year but it seems 10X bad when it happens in front of Christmas.

Our neighbors right next door are heading toward divorce. Found out things weren't going so well just in front of Thanksgiving. I was hoping they'd figure out how to reconcile. Looking like the wife, who is friends with my wife is going to move 60 miles away.

Hope your holidays are going better than mine.

The stroke death is sad.

The divorce news is great for the guy. He gets to keep the house and she gets the hell out of town.

I've noticed it goes in waves.

There are a couple of students who always wear one (one has a grandparent living in the house with them and the other's father has cancer), but otherwise, when I see a bunch of people working at the grocery wearing masks again, or when I notice the doctors who either train where I teach or whose kids do wearing one, it gives me a head's up a bunch of crap is floating around.

Part of the reason for the split is his unwillingness to take care of the house and yard.

It's unclear if he will be able to keep the house on his own. I've never had a major issue with either of them.

With my luck, the house will be sold and some major douchebags will move in. I live on a corner and this is the only house really close to me. It's the one house I don't want bad neighbors in.
