must be that time of the month...

Mr. Kobe is taking Lil' Kobe to a ski shop this week to get her racing skis. She grew out of her old skis and her coach recommended a specific kind that aren't at regular stores. Not looking forward to that bill.
I got my new skis and bindings from skiessentials.com. I got last year's model (2020) of my skis and bindings for $605 (no tax or shipping!). If I bought this year's model, they'd have been $1050.

Might want to check that out.

I can't envision doing that shit for 20 minutes!
I can't say I have it worse than a lot of other people, but my mental energy for dealing with everyone else's problems at home is really starting to wain. Pandemic has made it even harder because everyone's problems are just a little worse and there's no shut off point between my work and home life. At least before the pandemic I could leave it at work. Now I'll get text messages from clients before bed that keep me up at night or wake up to text messages that have me thinking about it right as I wake up.

Minnesota is a no fault divorce state, so I don’t always know the background of how/why, but I’d guess it’s higher that 1/3rd based on rough recollections of recent cases. Probably less than half though.

Although I would say those percentages for stepping out were probably pretty similar even before social media.
Interesting. Yeah I'm not sure where she heard the stat from but seemed like it could be in the ballpark. We got on the subject cause we were talking about when we first tried dating apps and were a little naive at first thinking everyone else on there was single too, haha

I hooked up with 3 married chicks on them. One was in an open relationship. The other two said they were, but those were one time encounters, so who actually knows.

I want to earmark that money so I can be done lawyering. I'm nearing the end. Might be a few years, but I can't envision doing this shit for another 20+ years.
I'll drink to most anything, but I'll drink more to that.

I'm overhearing more about divorce cases from that lawyer who's working out of my office and they make me sick. I couldn't do it.

Would be a difficult stat to nail down, not only because people don't want to admit it, but also because even with divorce something like that could still be undetected.

You may want to look at that credit card bill for the skis before making any rash decisions. I remember what regular skis cost, like a grand, and that was years ago and they sure as shit were not special racing skis.

Don't let your kids go to law school.

It's too expensive. We drink too much. The work is soul-crushing (most of the time). And we kill ourselves at a higher rate than the general public.

(This isn't a cry for help. I'm not planning to kill myself.)

Speaking of stats, I listened to a podcast yesterday that said at one point, those AOL mail-out CD's we all got basically every week accounted for 50% of the CD's being produced in the world.

That is bonkers. And probably 80% of those got thrown straight into the trash.
