Everyone wants to dump on Campbell and be a backseat quarterback but no one is talking about this was the best season in Lion's history. No one has accomplished what Campbell did with the Lions in 94 years of existence and he did it with Jared Goff at quarterback and took this team from the cellar to the NFC championship game in 3 years.

But that’s like saying leave Dan Quinn alone for blowing a 28-3 lead in the Super Bowl just because it was the best Falcons season ever. You can make the season even better by just not being retarded.

I don’t understand not kicking the FG to go up 17 in the third and I damn sure don’t understand kicking a game tying FG in the 4th.

Great season for the Lions, but the dude fucked up and the Lions are likely playing for a SB if they kick those FG’s. Being down 14 vs being down 17 with a quarter and a half to go are worlds apart when it comes to morale. Dude gave San Fran momentum

There was also the horrible clock management at the end of the game. You need two scores and are in the red zone with three timeouts. You need to score quickly and force the 49ers to get a first down. Instead, you run the clock all the way down to under a minute and burn a timeout in the process. If you don’t get the onside kick there, you aren’t getting the ball back.

True, but I don’t think that even matters if you just take the damn points.

I had no preference going into the game, and Lions still covered the +7, but I was gonna be pulling for the NFC team regardless once the Chiefs won.

It brought back memories of the Falcons blowing a big lead against the 49ers in an NFCCG.

I feel bad for Lions fans having to go through that.

Congrats to you on your 9ers though. I’ll be pulling for them

I think he should've kicked the FG there too! There was 1:47 on the clock when they got well within FG range. They had all three timeouts and needed 3 anyway, down 10. Kick the FG there, and they could've kicked it away.

I'd much rather get the ball back with 25 seconds, then I would try to recover an onsides with 50 seconds left. Especially with the way the rules have changed. Prolly got a greater chance of being struck by lightning than recovering one nowadays.

With the new rules, the success rate on onside kicks is around 3%. Not something I’d want to count on.

I have no problem with MC/DC. If the guy that gets paid to catch the ball, would have caught the ball on 3rd down and 4th down. They probably would’ve won. And the guy that fumbled
