Had him on last year’s dead pool, but took him off this year like a retard.

I liked some of his early stuff that came out when I was a kid, can still jam to “Shoulda Been a Cowboy” but never have been a big fan.

So sad man. He's a good dude and was a huge OU supporter. He had 32 #1 songs and is top 5 all time in Country music earnings. Gone too soon.

I saw him at MD Anderson a few months ago when I was there with my wife. I didn't go talk to him because I didn't want to be that guy. Be later I was getting chicfila in the cafeteria and I hear a Boomer! I had my OU hat on and he yelled at me from across the room in that deep voice.

All of his stuff pretty much after "should have been a cowboy" was basically "I've got fuck you money and now I'm gonna tell you to fuck off". I loved it.

They’re all older than you think from that era. Most didn’t break through until they were around 30. Alan Jackson is just a few years younger than my maternal grandpa

Yeah I forget that the 90's were before YouTube and all these social platforms where 8 year olds can go platinum. Back then people actually needed skill and to pay their dues before they made millions.

He was a big man and pretty stout in his day. I remember watching some wrestling show when I was in middle school(TNA I think) and he ran into the ring and suplexed one of the bigger wrestlers and held him in the air for a good while before slamming him
 
not a huge fan of his stuff...way too pop country for my liking and his jingoism was always just too much

but he had some fun songs and was big for his era of country music.

I agree, cancer sucks.

Yep. Shania Twain is still a MILF in my mind even though she’s at the GILF age. Was surprised that she was so much older than the pop divas that came out around the same time
