When you get to the end of the toothpaste tube and you can't squeeze any more paste, you need to cut the tube in half with a scissors and squeeze the halves open and dig out a few more toothpaste with your fingers for more brushes.

Word!!

Work installed some tracking shit on the puters. Less posting for moi
You “have gastro intestinal distress” and must take your phone with you to the restroom several times a day.

Just force PG&E into bankruptcy, settle the claims in the proceedings, reorganize under new management. If rates are going up, it better include infrastructure improvements.

Private solar power buy-back provisions cannot be at retail prices. They must be at a calculated cost to produce basis to work. Otherwise, it undercuts the cost of delivery.

Howling winds and downpours all weekend. Today has been sprinkles and a little breezy. No loss of power so far, but I was surprised it didn't happen yesterday.

I lost power - just got it back last night, but I had lots of lanterns, so plenty of light, a gas-top stove, so I could have hot food, and a gas water heater so I could have hot showers. The one challenge was it got pretty cold in the house, but at least it wasn't too cold outside, so it wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been. Plus, watching the cat burrow herself in a sleeping bag was both funny and adorable.

That said, I let out a big "woo-hoo" when I got home and saw my power was back (I'd just checked the PG&E site, and it had said it wouldn't be restored until Thursday).

I had some limbs come down, but nothing too big, and not damage from them. Thanks heavens I had the tree people here just a few days before taking out a bunch of huge dead branches out of my ginormous Monterey Pine.

I buy the 3 packs so I never run out. Went to brush my teeth the other night and the tube was empty so I chucked it and went to grab a new one…only I didn’t have a new one. So I went to my travel case…empty! Searched high and low…no fucking toothpaste anywhere!! So not only did I have to cut the current tube open, I had to rescue it from the trash!! So glad it wasn’t buried under snotty tissues and hairballs. I thought about just using baking soda for a sec but :puke:

My friend in Carmel has been without power since Saturday and was told it won’t be back until tomorrow. I panic when it happens to me…all of a sudden, I need to vacuum, do laundry, cook, bake, watch tv, listen to music and use my computer

I'd be lyin' if I said my heart didn't drop to my stomach when I saw the estimate of power being restored on February 8th.
And, yeah, I suddenly want to do all sorts of random things which require power the second my power goes out.
I hope, like with me, PG&E gave your friend an estimate way longer than it takes to get their power restored. I'm still jealous of them living in Carmel. I love it there, and wish I could afford a second home down there, but holy shit, it's insanely expensive, even by the obscene standards of Bay Area real estate.

And some on here thought I was nuts for suggesting that.

Pffffft.

Read my posts and you'll get smarter by the minute.

Two of my wife’s cousins are dentists. No exaggeration, we must have 200 little tubes of toothpaste at our house.
