Whoa. Back up there a minute.
It's gotta come out. Has a mass on it that they are 90% sure is renal cell carcinoma. Going to see the surgeon on Monday morning at Memorial Sloan-Kettering. He's an expert in laparoscopic and robotic surgery.

Once it's out, they can run the biopsies and so forth.

Hope its goes well. How long will the recovery be?

Will have a better idea after Monday, but a friend who works at MSK in that department said it may only be a matter of a couple of days since they do robotic.

@moxie: Two questions.

1. Did you record your time yesterday?

2. Did you see to that bug bite?
1. No, I can do it in 2 weeks
2. Yes and the doctor said that he thinks it was a brown recluse even though I thought we didn't have them here. He said I should have gone in earlier to get antibiotics, but that it looks like it's healing, so too late for that. But I also got stung by a bee the other day (little shit poked me in the face twice) and I was fine that evening and even the next day. But on Sunday, my face started to swell and so I went to urgent care and they gave me some antihistamines and prednisone. Still swollen today and a little itchy, but not terribly so. But I can't go out in public with my Elephant Man face, so i'll be WFH until I'm presentable.

Well, shit. Thanks for one-upping my goddamn "bit by a spider and stung by a bee" story :tsk:

Seriously though... I hope everything goes well. Do we have any vbets on recovery time or if you poop yourself while you're anesthetized?

I'll talk to @gobigred , see if we can set up some props

I will be giving up a kidney for Lent. It had a good run.
I gotta say when you were randomly bragging about being an organ donor a few years ago I never thought that info would be beneficial. But here I am looking forward to this thing being delivered to my doorstep tomorrow. I already have a nice marinade ready.

Must have been a wasp. Bees can only sting you once since it rips their stomach out.

Or, it could have been two bees.
Dude! Seriously?

You would think at some point those litter fuggers would think twice about stinging someone. "I really wanna sting the hell out of that guy, but.....I gotta rip my innards out to do it"

I was sitting in traffic and rolled the window down. Then I felt something touch my face so I swatted at it and felt the sting. I looked at my hand and I had the stinger so that's why I thought it was a bee (or yes, bees). But I don't think it was two...i probably smashed the stinger into my face when I swiped at it because one "bite" is significantly bigger than the other. So he probably got me once then I used his stupid stinger and got my own self with it :tsk:

How you get stung by a bee in February?

Well that explains why you were trying to harvest mine.

Good luck with the surgery.
