It's Throwback Thursday's thread of sarcasm and witty repartee

Mr. Kobe and Lil’ Kobe have to drive an hour or so to a ski shop tonight. Looks like fish strips and French fries for supper tonight for the rest of us.

6 rolls should last a single guy at least a month, so you should be good.

I highly recommend a freezer and a gun safe. But I have kids, so I feel like they might be a little more necessary here.
I hear chest freezers are hard to come by right now.

and 6 rolls should be plenty. I use them pretty sparingly.

All this hording is ridiculous.

Cases are spiking, but we're also testing significantly more than we ever have. Hospitalizations are increasing, but we're still 25% short of hospitalizations from the first two waves. 7-day daily death averages are down 64% from their peak (4/21) during the first wave.

Much ado about nothing.
Mr. Kobe just got his daily numbers email. South Dakota is at a 43% positivity rate. That’s bonkers.

I think it probably depends on where you are. He’s been particularly focused on SD because he’s going hunting there next week.

Considering heading down to The House tomorrow to get myself a new snowboard.

If only there was a forum on this website dedicated to politics, where one could bitch and moan about political nonsense.

Alas, none such place seems to exist.

That's....impressive.

Reactions: Me
I have a friend that’s a high-up at Target that said TP, disinfectant wipes, soda, and canned goods are what they expect will be the shortage during this surge. Apparently there’s a shortage of aluminum cans.

And that they are anticipating more restrictions on restaurants in colder climates coming up, so food overall will have shortages.

I don't think anything is going to go full lock-down, but if I can limit my trips out, and try to keep my wife (apparently having a stroke makes you more susceptible to the nastier COVID side effects) and the baby as safe as possible, I'll do it.

And the panic buying around here last time was bonkers. I just want to be able to wipe my butt after I poop.

Long term effects and such. Scarring of the lungs is never fun or ideal for long term health.

Aluminum has been in short supply for a good while.

ND was just over 10% positivity rate. Improvement...at least for a day.

Yep.

North and South Dakota have the highest per capita case counts.
