@RubinRock would say you're being too light on Mr. Turner. What about all the people who don't get tested and aren't sick?
How are we running numbers at random?
What about Justin turner? Should he be sentenced to life in prison?

Not political. Medical and statistical.I thought you weren't going to be political.
All I did was answer your question about why healthy people get tested.
I thought you weren't going to be political.

I didn't say that. Not political. Medical and statistical.
I don't see how you can say we have an increase in percentage of cases when the healthy people haven't been tested.
Guy I work with the other dayYea, I have no doubt. I've said for almost 10 years that the lack of intelligence by people around here is the worst part about living here.
The numbers with all of it are going to be fucked anyway. You're not recording the asymptomatic people who pass it to people who show some symptoms who then kill gramma. Realistically the number of "positive cases" is probably under reported, but if you test everyone to catch the asymptomatic people, you fuck the useful data. So, the way they are doing it now, makes the most sense...Not political. Medical and statistical.

Correct. California just tightened their restrictions based on case increases. Meantime, their 7-day cases are down 58% from its peak on 7/26, and 7-day deaths down 65% from peak on 8/6.Not wanting to delve into the political aspect of this, but do I understand rightly that they're basing the numbers on tests now?
IL just got shut down again in my area because of positive tests.
Pretty much anyone can get tested now if they want to, and some amount of healthy people are being required to take tests for travel, work, school, etc.Doesn't it stand to reason that people would only get tested if they were sick?
Guy I work with the other day
"They said 80% of people who tested positive wore masks. THEY DON'T WORK. why do we still have to wear these stupid things?"
Yeah, not bothering with that
I get it.They are in their 60’s, but my mom has diabetes and my dad has high blood pressure. Both are overweight. Not exactly pillars of health.

At that point it comes down to how.many deaths are acceptable. While we are getting better at treating it and deaths are quite as high, there are still deaths. Not wanting to delve into the political aspect of this, but do I understand rightly that they're basing the numbers on tests now?

Folks are laughing, but that went in to our decision to see my parents. They're not cavalier about it, but they have definitely eaten at restaurants more than I have since the start of this thing. So, I thought if they're in a proverbial bubble, I would understand keeping away, but they could also get it from somewhere else and we'd have missed all this time.Seriously.
If the brothers get the parents sick anyway, you wouldn't be able to spend time with them in the hospital, so why not one last holiday?!
Make sure youre taking fatherhood notes here @gobucks0409Except the 3 times it will happen.
Good luck with your raising kids in a downtown condo goals of 2021 though.
I'm doing my best to stay away from old people.Reasonable. I think folks in their 70s/80s have about a 15% chance of dying if they get this stuff.
I'm not trying to tell anyone how to handle this, but I believe having as much real information as you can is beneficial.
Damn thats morbid.Folks are laughing, but that went in to our decision to see my parents. They're not cavalier about it, but they have definitely eaten at restaurants more than I have since the start of this thing. Should be castrated in public@RubinRock would say you're being too light on Mr. Turner.
Yea, like I posted in another thread, I was out "doing stuff" like going to baseball games back when we were at 30 cases a day. Now I'm not doing most anything because of the rates around here.Folks are laughing, but that went in to our decision to see my parents. This thing's going to kill people until it burns itself out like it did in NY.At that point it comes down to how.many deaths are acceptable. While we are getting better at treating it and deaths are quite as high, there are still deaths.
kobes concerns about getting her parents sick are still relevant. I wouldn't want to get someone sick who couldn't handle it.
