States You Have Visited

Can't think of any bad experiences but when I think of Alabama I think back to in the backwoods seeing a port-a-potty perched in a tree with wooden steps going up to it.

Haven't been out as much as you but certainly looking forward to changing that soon (retirement is right around the corner )

I'll expound on my experiences later.

Stupid link doesn't work...Edit: hacked it.

Not nearly as many as I would like to have visited.

I've been to every state except Alaska.
Of those I've done more than drive through, the two which surprised me most were Maryland and Jersey.
Both states seem to have a reputation for being veritable pits, but large parts of both states are actually really beautiful.

I can't think of any really bad experiences I had in any state, but I was starting to get pretty creeped out when I was driving through some small towns in WV.

Different breed of people out there.

The only time I've ever been to Oklahoma, was strictly to say I've been there.

Went to a casino, hit on maybe the third pull. More than covered the gas money home.

Good experiences in most all of them. The worst experiences I can recall are almost being arrested in the Salt Lake City airport and a really crappy camping trip in Vermont

New Jersey seemed like a ring of filth, surrounding a dense pine Forrest. I stayed in the western filth ring rather than Philly. Which I do not regret.

I'll put it to you this way, I grew up in Kentucky, and you couldn't pay me to stop at night along Highway 50*.

*I'm not sure what year they finished I-64 across West Virginia, but there was a time when to get from one leg of 64 to the other, you had to take Highway 50 for a little while ... and it was creepy af!!!

I got arrested in Nebraska once. Wasn't the worst expierience, but got expensive.

Would really like to see the dash cam footage.

That might have been a deer blind

I was very impressed with Georgia. I wasn't expecting much, but came away with a new opinion and appreciation of that state.

Wow, that's pretty awesome, only three to go
I'd like to save Hawaii for last, but the window for visiting Alaska seems so small...

I've also never slept in Idaho or Delaware. Idaho was beautiful, the ten miles of it I saw between Montana and Washington anyway.

And Delaware had great bargains on smokes. Which was honestly why I went there. Plus to get a break from Philly.

Georgia is too much like South Carolina, where I grew up. Nothing wrong with it, just bored of it.

I have really enjoyed New England, especially the seafood. I think I would like more of the West if I could ever get out there.

I've been to three Islands in Hawaii. Would love to see all of them -- or at least the ones that are public.

And I kinda like Philly, I think it's a great town.
