I think they were pretty deep when it popped.
 
there are plenty of subs that are capable of making the trip to the Titanic. The one last summer was not one of them and had not been properly approved for the trip.

I imagine this team will not make the same mistakes.
 
Does this one have windows? Because if not I just don't see the point. The one that imploded had no windows so they would be "looking" at the titanic via a computer monitor/video feed. I can do that from right here, safely, and for free.

The one that imploded had a window, yes. Tiny thing in the front. But your point is taken, the rich jerks going to the Titanic weren't pioneers, and nothing at the site was new.

This. He's obviously taking an approved vessel to that depth. The submersible that imploded a year ago was an unapproved hobby project.

Even so I don't see the point of it. There is a ton of really good footage of the wreck on youtube. LOL, just buy a large screen TV with excellent resolution and it is almost as good.

It wasn't just unapproved, he was warned by people who inspected and tested the vessel it was not suitable for the dive. The last dive there are people who stated they could hear noises coming from the vessel's haul. The owner was an arrogant jerk who dismissed all concerns about the vessel.
