Not too many big surprises. Tennessee is a bit high losing their top rusher and two of their three best receivers along with a subpar portal group. Nico may be the real deal but it was a 4 loss team last year. I think Lousiville will end up being one of the teams who outperforms their preseason ranking the most. I also don't understand WVU only being ranked in one poll.

FSU - will they be able to replicate what they did last year with hitting on all their transfers? Their QB isn't very good - he was ranked 43rd last year and everyone was all excited about that. If they lose to GaTech to start the season in London, perhaps their confidence from last year might not help as much. Their fans sure think they are back.

Michigan - they lost a ton on the coaching staff and players. I have a feeling they have a tough year.

Clemson - are they the Clemson of NCs, or the one of the past few years? How does the LOS hold out on both sides? Tough starting with UGA in Atlanta.

Missouri - they have the easiest SEC schedule. Was last year the new Mizzou? They have a lot of Offensive firepower coming back. He's a dweeb, but I kind of like their little coach.

I like UL's roster, but their schedule worries me a bit. Their 3 toughest games(ND, UK, Clemson) all on the road. I can see them going 6-2(maybe 7-1) in conference but be 9-3 or 8-4 at the end of the year. They don't play FSU, so if they each have the same conference record, I'm not sure what will decide who makes the ACC CG.

Idk what to make of the B12. Conference is wide open. I could see WVU, KSU, Kansas, Utah, Arizona or Oklahoma State winning it. Lol. It's gonna be hilarious when a 9-3(or worse) B12 team is #4 in the CFP, and gets drilled in the QF.

FSU is interesting. As they rely on the portal much more heavily than other top programs(at least the last couple seasons). I don't think they'll be better than Clemson this season, so I think they'll take a step back, but might be able to get to 10-2, which might be good enough to sneak in to the CFP as a 10/11 seed.

I think Michigan will still be pretty good because of the defense. They still have a lot of talent, biggest thing is the coaching for me. Losing your HC and DC is huge. Even with the losses had they returned Harbaugh and the DC, I think I would have had them beating Texas.

Agree with Missouri. Easier schedule, can they make the SECCG? I'd put it at about 33%.

I would hate to be favored as #1 pre-season. If any team deserves it Georgia is the best choice.

Good point about UL's schedule, though I think they can go at least 1-2. ND is likely a loss (especially with the revenge factor), but the other two are winnable IMO. 9-3 seems reasonable, and that'd put them right on the cut line for the CFP.

Maybe I'm irrationally optimistic about WVU, but I really like what they have going on offense. They were a top 30 unit last year and I think they'll improve on that. If the defense can play well, I can definitely see them taking the Big 12, which is almost a glorified G5 at this point. Needless to say, though, I'm sure whoever the champ is will get clocked in the CFP.

Agreed ... I hate it. Especially with our schedule. Oh, well. Just have to go out and play well. I am seeing 11-1, 10-2, CFP for sure, just not sure how we get in.

Can I go ahead and lock in my vote for who is going to fall the furthest?

Gotta love The Athletic. Everyone else has LSU in the top 16 and they don't even rank em. :pound:

These Mega-Conferences makes the schedules that much more difficult.

At least you were "Others receiving vo ..." oh, wait, never mind.
