Can my Sharks fuck it up? In their entire history, they have probably laid an egg in the 1st round more than any other team. This year they get the #1 pick for the first time ever. Can't screw it up with Macklin Celebrini can they? Also, traded with Sabres for pick #11. For sure they will fuck that up. Per ESPN, they are #3 in future NHL prospects. That was before they won the lottery. I am 62. Still hoping for that elusive Stanley Cup before I croak.

There might be a better chance that the San Jose Sharks organization gets a Cup as the Arizona Coyotes than there is hosting a Cup parade in San Jose. If Phoenix figures out their arena situation and San Jose screws up theirs, you might have to retire your teal sweaters.

Yes I have heard the recent stadium rumblings. Something about the lease up. The next Quebec Nordiques?

There might be a better chance that the San Jose Sharks organization gets a Cup as the Arizona Coyotes than there is hosting a Cup parade in San Jose. If Phoenix figures out their arena situation and San Jose screws up theirs, you might have to retire your teal sweaters.

Arena situation? They need to figure out an ownership situation first. Meruelo is out, likely he was never in after the sale. He and the NHL pulled the wool over peoples eyes to soften the blow, then retracted it within about a week after they realized no one cared.

Not to mention, none of the cities themselves in Arizona want hockey.

As long as Bettman is Commish, hockey is going to continue to get pushed in AZ. We've witnessed decades of poor attendance, poor support from the community, poor ownership, poor arena situations and Bettman standing in front of it all waving a Yotes flag - by himself. It apparently doesn't matter to him if they want hockey there, he wants hockey there and will play every card in his deck to make it happen.

Let's not forget a poor team for the bulk of their tenure there. Fans got tired of an abysmal product over the years. No star power either on that roster. Took the old Winnipeg Jets and kept the old Winnipeg Jets brand. This will be a rinse and repeat in Vegas with that Oakland/Sacramento A's.
