While the Austin area once again may hardly get any rain.
I've seen more and more Texas license plates up here. How come you all don't have yearly license plate tags showing month and date of expiration?
Wait. Did a second backup and it still works. But 8 years for a notebook is exceptional. I'll set up to do weekly cloud backups.

Probably because states have different laws about vehicles?
Just fucking lol @ yearly inspections in a lot of states. One of the biggest crocks of shit of living in the Northeast
We have a sticker on our windshield that shows that.

When I lived in SC, we did the stickers on the license plate. Here in NY, the registration is on the windshield and is good for two years. Right next to it is the annual inspection sticker, which is 30 bucks at your local mechanic.

I didn’t have a car when I lived on the east coast growing up, but they would ding my mom for shit every year as a kid and she drove decent vehicles.

Sounds like she had scheisty mechanics. I can't recall the last time we had a failed inspection but it was probably for an emissions thing.
