Maybe the team needs to gel but they haven't looked good in their two time ups so far.

I remember reading an article on Fox Sports recently saying this team was better than the 92 Dream Team lol. They almost lost to South Sudan

I won't consider the scores of the games as an indicator of how good the team is, as the world level of play has increased significantly from '92. I will say that they probably have an equivalent starting 5 and a better end of the bench, but the second group on the '92 roster would absolutely merc this team's second unit.

Agree with @Guy Incognito the quality of play has dramatically improved since 1992. Basketball is truly a global game now.

Gotta admit seeing a LeBron led team get beat by the Sudan would be worth a chuckle

I know play has gotten better, especially in Europe, but South Sudan? No way they should have played that close with them.

Was only an Exhibition.

They play each other again, in an actual game, in a few days.

Did you take a look at some of the names on that roster? It was very surprising

I look at it like a tournament game in March Madness, any seed could win in a single game. And South Sudan probably should have won that game (Edwards definitely fouled the guy on the last play). USA went 7-28 from 3, South Sudan was 14-33, that closes a gap significantly.

Former sixer great Marial Shayok lighting it up was no surprise to me.

Anybody blame Lebron yet???

Looked much better against Serbia

Guaranteed advancement to the quarterfinals with their win yesterday. South Sudan looks legit. And it looks like the third place team in the US's pool will advance.

+43 point differential is the best in the tournament, and they're averaging 106.5 PPG. No one else is scoring more than 95.5.

The only other team that's scored 100 in the tournament so far is Serbia, when they clown stomped Puerto Rico. Be interesting to see how Kerr plays that game. I assume they're going to play for the win and the 1 seed, but they might give a lot of the minutes to the "second team" guys.

I expect rest for anyone over the age of 35 in that game. Should still win easily. Our pool was difficult but will be interesting to see how it goes when we run into France and Canada. Been underwhelmed with Embiid and the Brow.

They are definitely playing now how I expected them to play

Waxed those Brazilians. Now on to the real games.

None of the other teams scored 100 in their quarterfinal games, and the only game that saw teams score more than 90 points was Serbia/Australia, and those two teams had 82 each at the end of regulation.

If they keep shooting, they're winning gold.

I see what you did there.
