I hate the bunker style defense but Japan knew wouldn’t do well in an open style game.

That was a banger of a goal from Rodman. What a player. I like her. Making her own history. Her old man Dennis what rotten dude. Missed all those years of her developing into the great player she is going to be. Only 22. Can't get those years back Dennis! I think it was last year he saw her play in person for the first time. Not professionally the first time....the first time ever.

I'm surprised he isn't at the games, or if he is that the cameras haven't found him. They kept putting that Rapinoe dude on TV instead.

He isn't and doesn't care. Thankfully, he (Rapinoe) is no longer playing. Babe level still bad on team, the babe of babes on that team Alex Morgan gone. Still I like watching Sophia Smith. She is hottie! She is engaged to an Arizona Cardinals player now.
 
Need more Sophia Smith's on that team.

Tiny bit concerned with some of the heavy minutes most of the women are playing. Hope their rest and recovery game is A+, especially after today

Yea they were definitely looking tired. At least Germany had to go to extra time as well so hopefully they’ll be fatigued too

Injuries could bite them too. Davidson and Fox injured too. Shaw just returned from injury. These are small rosters too at 18 and only 2 days rest between games. Basically only 5 field players on the bench. Have to be conservative with your subs too based on a potential injury and going down to 10. Olympics are a grind for sure. Was hoping Spain would lose. Down 2-0 they survived on penalties. Spain best team in the world right now. Would have been nice to have them out.
