Oklahoma State Going All In On Pay For Play

Enjoy the Gator Bowl.
Anyone that thinks what is going on now is anything more than money is delusional. Right now I would say there are only 2 teams in the conference that have been consistently in the top 5. That number could go down with what is going on at the moment.

Parity is hitting the sport anyway and you bring in a true blue blood and a team that should be much better than they have been. That means shit is going to change, already is.

I predict this is Gundy's last season at Okie Jr. Two major reasons: first, this will be the best team he is liable to have for awhile and this will be his chance to impress the world. And second, he obviously doesn't like coaching at a broke dick school that will constantly struggle financially against the SEC and Big Ten schools. The divide is big now and it's going to become a yawning chasm in the future. Another hint is he put his house up for sale months ago. He's gone after 2024.

Interesting take, I’ve thought Gundy was gone a few different times TBH but you may well be spot on.

At least you'll probably be bowl eligible. Thank god you scheduled 4 cream puffs in OOC.

Don’t talk to me about OOC, OU consistently plays tough games out of conference, more in the last decade than any SEC team. One of the tougher schedules in the country no doubt. 8-4 is the floor. Interesting you have Texas beating us after last year. Look it up the last 25 years, OU dominates Texas. Just how it is. The Tenn game will show a lot, on that we agree.

poor schools give me the sads.

Ok, I've not looked elsewhere for their schedule but based on what you posted...where is the 4th OOC? Temple, Houston, Maine. what am I missing?

Oh no! That changes 6-6 to....6-6.
OU should go 7-5 this season. 8-4 would be a very good season with the schedule we have. It'll get easier next year and we will have a better team. OU fans just need to ride it out for awhile. Our recruiting has been very good so we are definitely getting stronger and deeper. But the schedule this year is a real doozy. :tsk:

Agree that 8-4 would be very good.

Some of your dumbass fans on here claim that's the floor. 🤣🤣🤣

With Dillon Gabriel we would definitely be better. But even with him still at OU it would be hard expect anything better than 9-3. It's just too early for OU to have any realistic chance of making a real statement in the SEC. We'll get there. Good luck with Dillon this year. Just expect some WTF games when he starts throwing to his 9' tall receivers. Dude has a real history of throwing high balls. He's streaky.

It happens often with shorter qbs.

Luckily there's only 2-3 regular season games he needs to produce.

Yeah and then there are the……

The old fat cat, cigar smoking SMU money bags are sitting around now bemoaning the fact NIL is 40 years too late. I wouldn’t be surprised if they return to being the slimiest “collective”. Or will it even be considered slimy nowadays?
