Last December, I was buying a new car and the dealership ran a credit check on me. Within 10 minutes, I got a text from Lifelock asking if I had applied for credit. I had to affirmatively say yes or no.

Had it, didn't do anything, dropped it. Just ended up locking down two of the credit agencies when I had an issue a few years ago. Now I have to go online and temp unlock when I do anything with credit, but I hate making payments so that is rare.
