I can't read the article while at work (blocked). But man, we have all the resources now: transfer portal, NIL, whatever for the taking... and now these teams get caught cheating.

Reminds me of a friend of mine. He cheated on his wife like crazy with some pretty hot women. After a good while, and the first time he got caught, he was with the NON pretty hot woman.

Not sure anyone was caught cheating here. Kid had an amazing year at a lesser football program, entered the winter portal then withdrew. he could talk to anyone during that time, right? Then goes back into the spring portal and two days later announces he is going to Bama. If you are an award winning kicker, it isn't going to be a situation of "eh, we will eventually talk to that kid in the portal". You are reaching out the second the name goes in. So 48 hours after entering doesn't mean anything illegal happened.

if you are playing for Miami OH and freaking alabama calls you up and offers you a spot plus I'm sure some NIL you aren't shopping that deal around. You wait a few hours to see if your childhood dream school calls or maybe UGA/tOSU rings your line but you accept the Bama offer right away.
