Meh. Just go back to the old system of under the table deals, and they’ll be better off for it with the tax free payouts

"go back" implies it ever went away. With NIL people just stopped looking. NIL deals are taxed, under the table deals are not.

The real lesson from this story is "Don't be Canadian". Not sure why anyone needed yet another reason to not be Canadian, but there ya go.

Provide him with a couple of "ladies of the night" now and then. Oh wait, he's a 5 star. Give him a different one each week. He be aight.

They’ve just got to give him one of those fake no-show jobs. Since he’s Canadian, maybe make him a backup singer for Celine Dion.

They just need his parents to set up a business that “consults” on NIL deals and have the collective pay them fees.

One of ND’s top recruits cannot profit from NIL deals because he’s Canadian. He’s attending school in the US on a visa that doesn’t allow him to earn income here. Thats some BS. 5* kid locked out of NIL

That's a pretty strict federal law. Unless these kids get different visas (essentially work visas) I don't see that changing soon.

That or Tim Hortons back home needs to pony up.
