"go back" implies it ever went away. With NIL people just stopped looking. NIL deals are taxed, under the table deals are not.


The real lesson from this story is "Don't be Canadian". Not sure why anyone needed yet another reason to not be Canadian, but there ya go.
 
Provide him with a couple of "ladies of the night" now and then. Oh wait, he's a 5 star. Give him a different one each week. He be aight.

They just need his parents to set up a business that “consults” on NIL deals and have the collective pay them fees.

That's a pretty strict federal law. Unless these kids get different visas (essentially work visas) I don't see that changing soon.
