there are a lot of directv subs here in Texas.. seen a FB page where many are signing up for youtube tv.. I've had a few acquaintances hit me up asking me the price and the amount of games I watch through YoutubeTV.. I tell them they can try it out for a month or do a free trial for a week to get through this weekend coming up

BTW fuck you FOX.. My Horns should be playing at the 3:30pm slot at the earliest..

Schools lost control of that a long, long time ago. Television rules.
Or maybe money rules but does so through television

Things just aren’t as good as it was on the Longhorn Network. No?

A lot don’t realize how big of a factor all the 11 am games were in OU leaving the big 12. It was part is it.

While there may have been many factors were a "part" of why they left the Big 12, let's not kid ourselves. The "BIG" part of why they left was M-O-N-E-Y!!!!! The other eight not being able to attract enough viewership to warrant additional money was a big deal. Now OU and Texas have help in the SEC with attracting large number of eyeballs.

And money follows the brand, and when the brand keeps getting stuffed into timeslots when a third of the country is still asleep the brand is impacted. I know for a fact that Joe C lobbied for more equitable treatment in the time slotting and was neener-neenered by the Fox/B12 brass.

I couldn’t be happier?

I don't doubt that at all. But saying anything other than the annual payout as THE reason for changing conferences just ain't so. If they'd have gotten all the time slots they wanted from the Fox/Big 12 brass, they'd have still moved to the SEC because of the payout. And anyone that thinks they should have turned down the difference in conference payouts is insane.

I don't understand why Noon games are so terrible? I've been to a couple and they've been great.
Not like 2/3 of the games it’s not. The local merchants hate them and they aren’t good for tailgating. People can discount it all they want but fans and donors were not happy.

OU will at most have 2 Noon games. I get that sucks for central time zone people because it's even earlier, but it's like OU has a bunch this year.
