GAME 3 TX @ 10 MICH • 12ET • FOX

This was literally the worst performance by a UM offense since the Steve Threet, Nick Sheridan era.

@Thiefery , we need the 5+ paragraph, all inclusive report from the day in the stands.

Just a very disappointing performance all around. Michigan defense got carved. I didn't think the defensive line looked too bad, but even when were able to shrink the pocket Ewers was able to move around and make plays. He's a damn good QB. The lack of depth compared to last year's defense definitely showed when they were out on the field for a good chunk of the game. The tackling was a huge disappointment today, it was never really an issue under Harbaugh. Credit to Sark for exploiting the D, he is a brilliant offensive mind. I'm not very keen on Martindale as a DC, I just don't think blitzing is really necessary with this defense... and it really bit him in the ass on 3rd downs today. Minter's defenses didn't blitz very much, even when he'd have linebackers attack he'd have linemen drop back.

but the offense also did it no favors in giving them any kind of break between not being to move the ball and turning it over. I don't understand going to Edwards as the main RB earliy after Mullings showed he was the clear #1 RB on the roster last week. Edwards simply doesn't have the vision or tackle breaking ability to be a #1 RB. He's a change of pace RB and one that should be targeted frequently in the passing game. Michigan has some real issues with QB. Warren doesn't pose any threat of being able to throw downfield, nor can he progress beyond his first read. The wide receivers have looked abysmal as well.

Congrats to Texas fans, it was a well deserved win and there was no question who was the better team. Just hope we can pick up the pieces and get ready for USC.

I would say we’re missing an entire coaching staff and 13 nfl draft picks. Just me though

Starting a walk on a QB is proving as bad as expected.
In 2021 we lost more players to the NFL and lost coaches. We repeated in 2022 because we have a winning culture, not a cheating culture. Your program was built on a foundation of cheating, and that is why you won’t sustain a winning culture. Even if your coaches hadn’t left most would have been ineligible this year, so it doesn’t matter that they left. And more penalties are coming. When your President was defending the indefensible, I knew the rot had settled in. I am sure the academicians at UM are thrilled UM is a laughing stock. Karma is a bitch.

Were you crying while you typed this?

If Karma for winning a national title is having an average year, count me right in. My team is the current national champion. Georgia repeating in 2022 because you lucked out and skipped Bama. We saw what happened last year when you had a play a team that wasn’t Tennessee state.

Michigans program is built on midwestern values, integrity and an enthusiasm unknown to mankind. Makes sense why that’s confusing to you.

Our current status is related to missing out on QBs two classes in a row. The end.

I think the reality is that the only outside wideouts we recruited in the last few years….transferred to other schools. Now we have a bunch of slot guys. And we signed one single 4 star qb in the last 3 classes. Tons of true freshman talent on the roster but man, the holes on offense in the previous two classes are very apparent now.

Defense was fine IMO. Offense left them in some pretty horrendous spots and in spite of that, they only gave up 7 in the second half. Offense just had to score points and they didn’t (like they couldn’t last week either).

The defense will continue to keep us in games but they have to figure something else out on offense. And unless that’s playing true freshman all over the place, I’m not sure what options they have.

Michigans program is built on midwestern values,

The stench is contained wholly within the campus.

Don't try to drag the Midwest into Michigan's fuckery.

Ohio does not represent the midwest or its values. You have to have integrity, like Michigan.

Just based on my watch Michigan has some real issues. QB and WR play are C- at best. They lack play makers. Probably should involved Edwards more in the pass game, as he is one of the few that can turn a 5 yard pass into a TD. I don’t know much about the 3rd string QB, but a few Michigan fans said he was talented. If that is true it might be worth taking some early season lumps with him

To be fair, considering that Michigan lost their HC and some of their staff, their starting QB and bunch of other guys to the portal, being ranked in the top 10 likely had more to do with them being defending national champs than their current staff and players.

That's a shit ton of turnover. They'll likely improve as the season plays out. Just hoping that doesn't happen until after September 21st.
