morning

feeling like fall out there this morning.

used up my propane tank over the weekend between the Ooni and the fire pit table. What I need to do is run a line from my big tank connected to my gas fireplace to my table and another extra for a grill or ooni...maybe I will talk to my propane guy about that.

morning all, warms up this weekend

Signed up for fall lawn bowling, we have a mix of three teams joining to one team

I think we could've made two teams out of players, but we'll see. I don't really mind if some weeks I don't play.

Wild football weekend.

MI gets their dicks kicked in and doesn’t look like a playoff team. :sigh:

Kiddo team won big in their second straight shutout. Tough opponents on the road this week coming up.

Lions take it to OT and escape week 1 with a big W.

Gambled on way more games than I should have. Lost a few, won a few and came out + $11 when the smoke cleared. 😥

Morning chumps. Had a nice vacation. Got some rest, got some alone time with the wife, got outdoors a bunch.

Got home late Friday, had soccer games Saturday morning, and our baseball end-of-season party in the late afternoon/early evening. Took the kids to a train event yesterday. Back to the salt mines this morning.

suck my dick GIF

Saturday, I finally had an optimal day to take down the dead ash tree in my yard (close to my house). My wife, son, brother and nephew all pitched in. Took about 5 hours from start to clean-up with a lunch break. I burned most of the tree in my pit as we dismembered it - only saving the largest branches and logs for future in-house fireplace use.

Next project will be digging out the fire pit, enlarging it to a 5' diameter and installing some new landscaping bricks around it.

This Directv v Disney crap needs to end!

I want my ABC, ESPN, ACC Network etc BACK!

Great weekend for the Norris.

Unless you count Friday.

:dhd:

Friday: HS football went as expected. IN teams 2-4 with alma mater winning one of the 2. OH teams 1-3.

Saturday: Buck's tackle team won & I was the lone coach for most of it. Other team lost somehow. Michigan got thumped. Then went to community days where school is. Dodger was helping FFA pedal tractor pull. They tried blocking a section off with cones but needed caution tape or rope. They politely asked & announced to stay outside the cones. Adults were just rude & shitty to them. I of course helped them & got a bit shitty back to the rude folks. I was still in my coaching attire so I'll see if anything gets mentioned.

Sunday did very little other than get groceries.

Covid did something to people - maybe politics too - but the point is people have never been more comfortable being confrontational and rude to each other as they are now. The way people treat strangers online has crept into real life.

My kids got a new male teacher this year and on the first night you meet your teacher this poor guy got verbally assaulted by a group of moms who didn’t like how he was running his presentation.

“You’re not supposed to be doing this tonight!”

“You’re supposed do this on a different night!”

“We all have other kids who need to meet their teachers!”

“Yeah!”

“Boo! Hiss!”

I felt horrible for the poor guy. This group had no problem telling this guy how to do his job on his first night in the school. 🤦‍♂️

there definitely is a certain boldness that people take to feel they are obligated to be full on Karens when it comes to shit like this...but I don't think COVID or politics had anything to do with it. Those people have always existed.

I do think the GenX generation has some sort of feeling of entitlement though...like they live in the "customer is always right" world and take it to the next level

Had to deal with that on vacation. Wound up just plugging in the Roku and putting on Disney+ a lot.

bummer on love injury

Id prefer to see him regress and GB regret making him, the now, second highest paid QB in the nfl rather than hurt

I have Disney+ and ESPN+ the only bad thing is that seems like most things on ESPN are only getting streamed via the live feed so since I don't have ESPN technically I can't even watch it on the app

Yeah it was a mix. Boomers 2x, GenX the most, one dumbass Millennial, one stupid Gen Z, and one Zalpha punk kid (in that gap that both Z& Alpha claim).

Isn’t he only out a couple of weeks? He avoided a catastrophe.

I just think a lot of people are stuck inside siting online arguing with other people and it’s starting to carry over into the real world when they do get out.

I’ve never seen a group of parents attack a teacher like that. I made sure to go out of my way to be extra respectful to him after that.

I have no problem this year getting into it with any of them. Especially since it's my last year coaching tackle for 4 years and running the flag league they all desperately wanted but none of them wanted to setup. Same goes for Ohio folks as my last year coaching wrestling full time over there. I may go out in a blaze of glory telling all of them to fuck off.
