Never get why companies do this shit. You know you are gonna get a ton of bad press and the contests are insured anyways (if it isn't then you are a dumbass of a company) so why fight it? 5 hundredths of a second? Just give the kid the damn car

Almost every company that pulls something like this ends up doing a 180 but the damage has already been done.

Now that I thought about it, I wonder if it was whoever insured the contest that came out that he was .05 of second slow and pulled the car. Then the dealership didn't want to be on the hook for it after they paid for a policy so they tried to back out.

It sounds exactly like something an insurance company would do. Who from that dealership is looking at the video down to the hundredths of a second? Damn sure an insurance investigator would though.
