I'm not much bigger: 5'11", 190; 195 soaking wet. Back then I might have been closer to 205.

I only did it once. The other guys were like "Let's max out, let's keep adding!" And I kept jumping in when it was my turn. Again, I was stupid, trying to keep up with bigger guys. I could have really messed up my back
Were you lifting with @Lance Uppercut's gym buddies?

might need to get a different pair of running shoes though...the Asics I have don't feel right for my flat feet.

I like two brands...Brooks and New Balance.

If you purchase shoes in the mid- priced range for their brand of shoes you will find the quality is worth the price and by all measures are very good shoes. (I have a pair of Brooks that are 9 years old and I wore the bottom sole smooth....yet the shoe itself shows no signs of coming apart).

The sole is firmly attached and all the material has held up without any failures. (Nike shoes usually fall apart after a year or so)

New Balance is another brand I find their mid priced range of shoes are quality buys. Their upper tier selections are over-priced in my view....some are above $150 now....but they look no better than the mid tier selections.

Multiple times now I've seen this thread at the top of the page and I've read it as "how do you wear you ball cup?'

What was/is your deadlift max?

I’m still pulling in the mid 400’s weekly.
Dang, those are for your reps?

I think I maxed around 385, I never liked deads. Long legs, farther to travel, bar always hit my knees on the way up

I can't 'unsee' the thread title now
Thanks

I warm up to 365 then do reps of 2 until I hit 405 then I just start adding tens and fives and do reps of 1-2 until I’m finished which usually ends somewhere between 455-475.

Deadlift has always been my best lift.

Try gripping the bar tight then push the bar forward into your hips by pressing your heels super hard into the ground. The deadlift is more of a hip and glute exercise rather than an actual lift. Once you perfect the technique you’ll love doing them.

lolz

Great bump. I'd forgotten about that.

"dude, i do curls - 110 reps with five pound dumbbells.'

That guy was a fucking trip!
I went from benching 220 to 550 in like a day, no sweat. Went outside, did a dab, and came back and Manny and Sully let me throw up the weight that they do when they're training for UFC fights.

Legend.
