So Tua had a history of taking a beating and getting hurt in the NFL to the point it looked liked his career would be short, especially with the concussions. Last off season he went in with the goal of getting bigger, stronger and took like Ninja lessons to stay healthy and it worked. Last season was the first time that Tua made through a whole season in the NFL.

This off season he has decided he needed to slim down because his mobility wasn't as great and he had less run yards. I don't know what he is thinking because the dolphins had a great season last year and if weren't for defensive injuries definitely would have gone much farther and challenged for the Super Bowl.

I think he is making a huge mistake because that extra strength kept him in the game and the dude doesn't need those extra yards running they need him healthy running the offense. I predict he doesn't last the season.

Tua just takes too many hits in general, and frankly, if he the scheme and receivers don't do the work for him, I don't think he can actually create on his own. Dead fish in the water against a legit SB contending defense.

I thought he took some big steps last year and if their defense had been healthy they may have made it to the Super Bowl. Injuries killed their post season.

Their WR's are covering up a pretty average QB. Tua is fool's gold, imo.

...and playing a playoff game at -4 degrees F
Good excuse until you notice the same shit kept happening against virtually any competent team. Then the offense went from juggernaut to wet newspaper.

Unfortunately, this prediction came true.

He had the 1st down. Damn it man, learn to slide.

It did not even seem to be that big of a hit.

He just signed a 212 million dollar contract in the off season. All that money doesn't mean shit if your a vegetable

It wasn't like that hit was a result of him trying to be elusive. He would've gotten concussed if he weighed 15 more pounds last night.
I didnt see it so i'll take your word for it, but his primary prediction was correct: Tua didn't last the season. You hate to see it, because there's already a QB shortage in the League.

He dipped his head into Hamlin's chest when he was well past the marker in an open-field situation. Dumb on all sorts of levels, almost as negligent as the Dolphins were in '22 when they tried spinning his first concussion as a back injury.

So he was trying to give Hamlin another cardiac arrest?

Classless

I made the comment to my son that two years ago that single play might have killed two NFL players.

See the bold.

He lost the weight to be more mobile so he could be more elusive and that was the mistake as he shouldn't be putting himself at risk.

He would have done the exact same thing with the exact same results if he wasn't trying to be more elusive. Lowering your head to run through a defender is about as unelusive as you can possibly be.

He wasn't going to slide if he was bigger.

Just not a smart decision on his part. Zero need to lower his head in that situation. Just go down and avoid the hit
