I mean, he's not wrong. Y'all are staring at cap hell after this season. No one you can really cut to save money and already not much cap room. Of course there are extensions you can use to maneuver but eventually you have to reset.

Eagles are not looking at cap hell after this season. They have $31.8M in cap space next season but also have $12M in cap space still this season that will carry over and add to that cap space total for next year. We also have the 6th youngest roster in the NFL.

This has been said for over a decade.

And I've been saying it for a couple of years, that 2025 is going to be the year PHL FO has to make some tough decisions.

Based on what evidence? As I pointed out they are set to have as of today over $40M in cap room next year. WhatsApp the big cap hit next year that is going to force them to make tough decisions?

No, even with the carryover you are projected to have $35m next year because of dead cap spending on Kelce and Cox mostly. You are losing a couple of players on the line and with that $35M you have holes you need to fill plus any draft picks to pay. There aren't any of the top 20 contracts that can be cut to save cap space, so going that route would mean emptying all your depth. You can defer some to future years, but the void/option structure that your FO uses instead of signing bonuses just means that the sword over your necks just shifts one more year. Just as the Saints have had to go through in the last couple of years, it's now catching up to the free spending ways of the PHL FO. I tip my hat and your FO seeing a player that can help and doing what it takes to get them and sign them, but if it doesn't result in a lombardi then it wasn't worth the cost it will bring in the future...and that future is now.

Let's look at Josh Sweat. He is an FA after this year but because of void years he has a cap hit of $16m next year. You can resign him and kick the can a little further, but just a quick scan shows you have $30m in players tied up that won't actually be under contract (Sweat, Becton, Graham, White). Gonna have to pay someone to fill those roster spots.

The problem wothbeveryrhing you just wrote is that the $35M next season already has the dead cap factored into it. Then you have over $12M this season that will roll over and create even more cap space.

No it doesn't. :L

Scroll to the bottom of the page on the link you shared. $35M when you factor those under contract for 2025 and the dead cap space, after rolling the 2024 cap space.

Jesus, if you are going to be wrong don't post the fucking link proving yourself wrong.

Alright, let's teach you math because clearly you do not understand what you are looking at there.

The Adjusted cap total of $285,414,564 is taking the current estimate of what the 2025 cap will be along with the 12.1M rollover of the Eagles 2024 remaining cap space.

If you add the contracts the Eagles have in place for 2025 (active roster) and the dead money/cap you get the total allocations for 2025.

$223,310,213 (2025 contracts) + $26,866,646 (dead money) = $250,176,858 (total 2025 cap allocations.

Now subtract the adjusted 2025 cap by the total allocations and you get the 2025 cap space of $35M. So they are far from being in cap hell in 2025. Draft class takes only around $5M - $7M total to sign. Then after that Eagles can and do always create more cap space with restructure and giving new deals to younger players. It's easy as long as you have an owner willing to spend cash which the Eagles do snd a team like the Cosboys don't.

What a cunt. Let's "teach me math" when my math was right along all along. As I said, you have $35M AFTER the rollover. And you may not have that much, depends on injuries and who you sign through this year.

Kiss my fucking ass you piece of shit. Talking shit, "let's teach you math" when you were the one that couldn't do simple addition and subtraction. Eat shit and die, cunt.

$35M in CAPSPACE sure ain't close to cap hell.

Watch these Eagles Super Bowls because they are just going to keep rolling on out like the Cowboys roll out once they hit the divisional round.

Sure, listen to the guy that can't do math and was dead wrong while repeatedly telling me I was wrong. Then tried to "teach me math" only to find the same answer I'd given him all along.

Dumb fuck.

Cap hell = an excess of cap space in the tens of millions.

Cap hell = an excess of cap space in the tens of millions.
No, cap hell is 35M in cap space with multiple key positions needing replaced but already has tens of millions tied to the players that have left and your FO using the option bonus structure to pre-restructure contracts. Every one of your top 30'ish contracts are already on the minimum base pay. There is nothing to convert to signing bonus and stretch in to future years. On top of that the top 20 contracts already have the void years added in. So not only does cap hell start in 2025, it REALLY gets bad in 2028 and I don't see a way out of it without massive cuts and paying the piper in 2029.

But glad to see you have stopped trying to argue the money. Guess someone "learned math", you pathetic piece of shit.
