And it was all so predictable. He was the first multiple year starter at QB under Saban at Bama to not win a natty, and his receivers helped cover up a lot of his shortcomings.
Also everyone called Stetson Bennett a midget while Young looked shorter in pictures, and then was confirmed shorter at the combine

Basically this guy is another Mitch Trubisky. He's not Russell because he at least is trying even if he's bad. Russell just didn't care.
The Colts drafted him. Elway's career could've taken a completely different trajectory if he would've stayed with the Colts. No blue + asterisk, he won a SB with a different team - those are the facts.
...And even that took til the very end of his career to happen.
