Supposedly, this has been accounted for in a lot of the short to medium term ordering for the holidays, and shippers have been prepared to route to the West Coast in anticipation of this. One thing I did see that could potentially be impacted in the short term is bananas, since most of them come through East Coast/Gulf ports currently.
I get the severity of it now.

"More than 38 container vessels were already backed up at U.S. ports by Tuesday, compared with just three on Sunday before the strike, according to Everstream Analytics. The strike by the International Longshoremen's Association (ILA) union has blocked goods from food to automobile shipments across dozens of ports from Maine to Texas, a disruption that analysts warn will cost the economy billions of dollars a day."

I get that he is trying to do right by his workers and all and they probably are underpaid (hell we all are)... I just hope this shit ends soon
