I have plenty of space in there for bikes, trailers, workbench, tractor, snow thrower, tools, storage, etc. Behind that garage is an extra concrete slab with another smaller overhead door for rear garage access. I use that slab mainly for excess firewood storage, but also use it as a tee box for hole #1 of the disc golf course I built on my (and part of my neighbor's) property (that he otherwise wasn't using).

That extra garage was a huge selling point when I bought the house.

It certainly is handy. If I ever move, my next house will have a second detached garage or pole barn because now I'm spoiled and don't wanna live without it.

Building a new house w a 3 car garage and it would be great if I could convert my bay into TV hang out area. Even if I have to back my car out to make space then pull it back in when I’m done.

Having a hang out space in the garage is a necessity for dudes.

I could pull off a man cave if I got rid of crap the wife has stored in the garage. We have a kitchen table & sofa out there. Could mount a TV we don't use from the basement as well. Plus we have the garage fridge with freezer, large chest freezer, small chest freezer, and upright freezer.

The new place will have more storage space inside — right now we keep all our toilet paper and paper towel on a shelf in the garage next to a fridge. All that plus my gym will all be moved inside in the new place opening up room, so I feel like I can pull the man cave off.
 
Now I’m sad.
