I'd say it's unlikely Oregon wins a de facto road game in the B1G ccg

lol that’s a feature, not a bug. It was still a great game, neither eliminate from CFP. Yeah, that’s just terrible.

You will get you wish as we continue into the end of the season. There will be many, many games coming in which a team will be “out.” Many more elimination games than ever. Especially later in the season ones.

But not between the top team, they’ll be between the 7-12 teams. Ohio State could probably lose to Penn state or Michigan and still be in at this point in the year. Same with Oregon. The remaining games mean less now for the top teams than ever before.

12 team playoff just shifts the "must win" games from starting in week 5 to probably week 10. That's when you will see teams where a loss takes them out.

Top or tops? There will be several top teams that eliminate contenders. And a lot of other teams will ruin a team’s playoff hopes.

I don’t think this game would have mattered last year or this year. I think OSU gets the rematch in the Big 10 championship game after they beat PSU

Agree, this game this early last season doesn't matter very much. This season it just means tOSU has no wiggle room. Oregon can lose the CG and still be top 12. tOSU I don't think could weather a late season loss #2.
