Week 7 Playoff Projections

No way a G5 conference gets a first round bye.
It's the four highest ranked conference champs isn't it? Did they ever say how that would work for ND, since they can't be a conference champ? So a 2 loss P4 champ just would need to be ranked higher than Boise after the CCG. Would a Miami or Clemson winner of that CCG jump in he rankings above a Boise with a win over UNLV or SDSt? I think they would

Yes. The best ND can get is a 5 seed. What he said ^^^^^^

What we have seen the CFPC do time and time again is an almost redo of the rankings from the last ranking after the 12th game of the reg. season and the one after the CCGs. Last year is a great example. Just ask florida St. The first year is a good example between Ohio St., Baylor and TCU. And they have done this in the years in between. They now have the total picture and they will look at the entire schedules of each team and find the P4 teams have played at least 10 P4 teams and the G5 teams have played at least 10 G5 teams. The SOS isn't even close.
Now, we are talking about a first round bye. There is no way on God's green earth or Satan's hot hell they are giving a G5 conference a first round bye. A #5 seed, yes, and that could very well happen. A 13-0 Liberty or a 12-1 Boise is not getting a bye in the first round.

There's a much lower chance of the g5 getting the #5 seed than the #4 seed. Getting the #5 seed I would even go so far as to say is impossible.

Obviously a 1 loss or undefeated bigxii champ gets the 4 seed over bsu
do they tho? what happens if West Virginia currently 2-1 in conference and 3-3 overall wins out and wins the Big XII?
how about 2-1/ 4-2 Colorado or Cincinnati?
ok so those are the extreme examples sort of.

Boise is only ranked 2 spots behind BYU. IF BYU were to lose 1 and then win out would they jump back over Boise?
Can Arizona State or TT run the table and get in there and win it and climb enough to over take Boise.

how about the ACC? Everyone ready to just say Clemson and Miami and call it a day but how about 6-0 Pitt? 1 loss in conference SMU, Louisville or Syracuse?
all sitting behind Boise or not even ranked

Oscar is saying if, not that it'll happen.

And yes a 1 loss B12 champ BYU is getting the 4 seed over Boise. Sorry

lol at you saying if West Virginia wins the B12

WVU has 1 loss in conference. all it takes is them winning out which would eliminate KSU, TT, and Cinci.
a bit more teams eating each other up and they right there in it.

WVU has 3 losses though. They have no shot at getting the 12 seed let alone the #4 seed if BSU wins out. I get what you mean for B12 but this is a playoff convo. And we're likely getting slaughtered Saturday.

top 5 highest ranked conference champs. IF WVU won out that would mean wins over ranked KSU maybe TT by that point and then the Big XII championship game. that could get them in to the teens

I will be surprised if beat UNLV

I get what you mean but after this Saturday we likely wouldn’t have a ranked team on our schedule the rest of the way until the CCG. I don’t see them jumping Boise if both win out especially considering we have 2 more loses. But let’s be honest, we may not make a bowl game because of:

Aac champion might get in over bigxii in that scenario

Everyone of the Big 12 teams you mention could win the conference. They could also not win another game.

SMU’s loss was OOC to BYU.

I’ll go with the MWC as the best G5. (I know, I know Army, Navy). Using your duckies as a measuring stick, no G5 team has as good of a game on their resume, win or lose, as Boise does. JMO

You can have 2 g5 conference champs in over the bigxii (in that scenario)
