Oklahoma poised to become South Carolina West

uhhh have you seen Nebraska since they joined the BiG? Or Colorado? even Mizzu??
Uhhh don’t be dense, if you really want to talk championships, Harvey Perlman, and the stupid hiring firing decisions of head football coaches I suppose we can do that but I plainly wondered why another school has attached themselves to Bevo’s butt like lampreys. Another mystery is how this upsets you so much.

On another note...

Yesterday Kyler Murray became only the third Cardinal since 1960 to finish a game with a perfect passer rating.

And Baker Mayfield leads the NFL in passer rating.

And Dallas sucks

Texas had everything they always wanted in the BigXII, but that conference wasn’t good enough for them. I feel bad for the other schools that constantly voted with Texas/kept caving in to Texas’ bigger demands - they even went to uneven money splits so Texas could have more and in the end, they still got left behind. Hissy fits is damned a funny way to describe thinking for oneself. Good luck trying to act like Texas runs the SEC. It’s best if Y’all learn some humility, get in line, and learn how to say yes sir.

Might need a bump here, as the head-to-head is coming up on Saturday.

My Okie Brothers, we will be fighting for the basement of this league. Go easy on your livers.

Mississippi St. got this.

There's last, then there is Mississippi St. last. Don't be Mississippi St. last.
I think South Carolina has winning records against 4 current SEC teams: Vandy, Kentucky, Texas, and MSU

WOOF

One good thing about OUs demise is tickets are getting real cheap! :dhd:

Interesting OU trivia about tickets:

OU sold out at home only one time under Bud Wilkinson — a 7-0 loss to Notre Dame in 1957. Fans could buy seats in the south end zone (the old wooden bleachers) for $1. WKY-TV paid the university $3,000 total for the rights to televise their home schedule. Bud Wilkinson was the first coach to have his own TV show.

Even Peeperidge Farms couldn't remember that.

OK

Brent Venables makes ~$158,000/week. Bud Wilkinson — largely through his television show — paid taxes on $102,000 in the late 1950s. That was ~$2,000/week. $2,000 in 1957 is worth $22,441 in today's money.

Apparently Brent Venables is worth 7 times more money than Bud Wilkson was.

Barry Switzer was making ~$1,000,000/year at the end of his career at OU and that included income from his 3 radio/TV shows. $1,000,000 in 1988 is worth $2,665,266 in today's money.

Apparently Brent Venables is worth only about 3 times more money than Barry Switzer was.

Not an OU problem, but how many coaches are being paid this year NOT to coach their former teams. Those are the smartest sumbitches I know.

Is Charlie Weiss still getting checks from 3-4 schools?
