tOfficial B1G Thread

Rutgers has won more B1G games in the last 3 years than Oregon has.

Oregon has the highest winning % in conference games in Big Ten history

1/2 price, boy. Thanks for the money.

Listen cheesehead, don’t ever talk to me about money. I make over 24 bucks an hour as the lead attendant at the Dairy Mart in Thurston. With that kind of cash, I can afford to lease my 2016 Toyota Corolla and rent an apartment in the hottest area of Springfield’s downtown.

Life goals.

Can this Michigan team actually manage to pass for less yards than the 2008 Rich Rod debacle with fucking Steven Threet and Nick Sheridan running a spread option offense?

Those 2 bums combined for 1,718 yards 11 TD/12 INT

Thru 7 games in 2024 the scUM QB train has combined for 898 Yards 6 TD/ 9 INT.

I don't think this group is capable of putting up 820 more yards in the 5 games they have left. That would require 164 YPG when their current average is 128

Lost all credibility when you didn't spell it "Dari Mart"

Yeah, Dante Moore is one of the first things that come to mind. I was gonna say Shane Morris, but he was a sophomore when he got hurt against Minnesota

The other thing with Dante Moore is him and his parents wanted him to redshirt for a year so he could gain enough weight and muscle to play at the CFB level. Can't say I'd fault them if they were reconsidering where he plays though.
Shane Morris was also never a very talented QB to begin with. He had a nice summer camp in sweats that shot his ranking up but it was hard to envision him being a good college QB if you watched his film. There's a reason in his entire HS career he only had 3,762 yards with 42 TD/21 INT on barely 50% passing. If michigan doesn't get at least 1, maybe 2 QBs in the portal Moore should be fired immediately.

Fair enough. And yeah, QB should be priority numero uno. They should be trying to add one before the bowl games/CFP games kick off. They *should* also look for a WR or two as well in the portal IMO. Hard for me to form a real opinion on Sherrone, I do think some of the issues can be attributed elsewhere (I think the inaction on the QB situation falls on the Harbaugh/NFL dance). I do blame him for picking his coordinators, however, and this offense might be on par with the 2014 offense. There's only two 2-3 good pieces (Mullings, Loveland, maybe Edwards) and they aren't able to utilize them properly, especially Edwards. The playcalling is very unimaginative and gives the impression they had no real plan for the 2024 season.

The defense has been good, but they haven't been without their lapses mentally (penalties and busts, though some of the busts might have more to do with Wink than the players themselves). I do feel like we beat Washington with Minter at the helm instead of Wink, but I can't blame the defense for the Illinois game. They kept the game closer than it could have been. I don't think Michigan beats Texas with Minter running the defense, but I don't think Texas routs them as badly as they got in the first half.

There's really not much to say about the rest of the season. I don't think there's any quick fix for the offense at this point, and unfortunately most of their NFL talent will be gone after the season. They need to figure out their identity on offense and either can Campbell or get him to agree to a demotion, and really hit the portal. I'll watch the games still, but I'll try to save my emotion for the offseason and next year when we can really get a feel for Sherrone and Co. I'd be all for giving Lincoln Riley a nice bag and serve as an OC if he gets axed.
